“The service here was absolutely incredible. Our server, Riley was a total sweetheart. Was very accommodating when I requested changes to the order, made recommendations, and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we wanted. The food was stellar too. I had grilled chicken in pink sauce with angel hair pasta. We got cannolis after for dessert and they are the best cannolis I have ever had in my life. Looking forward to coming back here again and again.”

“I thought I would venture out and try some different bars in my area. This is a great little bar. Its definitely has a Cheers atmosphere, everybody definitely know everyone, but its definitely not cliquey. First time here and It felt very inviting. Mary the bartender was very attentive, even though it was very busy the night I stopped in. Food was excellent. Why the 4 out of 5? Its a smoking bar. UGH, Had no idea it was until I walked in. I toughed it out though. So for all you non-smoker / asthmatic people like myself I would stay away. Other than the smoke, the place the people and food were all above board. “First and foremost the food is excellent. I enjoyed the food and will go back because of it. The only issues I have are related to the wait time and the portions/price of the sides. Arrived at 12:30 on a weekday and ordered 2 specials and 2 sides to go. The place had 1 table with 2 people in it and 3 people waiting for their to go order. We waited 20 minutes for our food. The sides are small when compared to the price. I believe they are appropriately sized but 5 dollars for a scoop of Mac and Cheese and a scoop of beans is slightly high in my opinion. I've eaten at a lot of food trucks and the prices seem comparable to that. Believe me the food was excellent. One of the best BLTs I've ever had but the sides were just good. The star of the show was the sandwich. The inside was a little drab and dark too which is why we took our food to go to a local brewery.”

I absolutely love their California burger and their pasta is fantastic. They have the best long rolls. You can't beat their prices for the high quality of food. I highly recommend La Vera. Update - the food quality here has gone downhill. Overcooked/mushy pasta, had order replaced only to have more overcooked pasta. Pizza seems undercooked and watery. And chicken wings have had feathers on them on more than one occasion. They're local and I keep ordering on hopes the food will get great again.”

“Love this place. Let me start by saying that I go to places for the food, not the decor. My wife and I have been going here for about 4 months now. I wanted to really try this place out prior to reviewing. I will tell you that I am hesitant on letting the cat out of the bag on this place, but here you go...... The ambience is as basic as you get here but what it lacks in decor it makes up for in the personality of the wait staff and owners. These people invite you in and make you feel so welcome every time you come in. The food. Oh my god, all I can say is that it's amazing. I love that the breakfast menu allows for so many half orders. This allows me to try new things every time I come here. The blueberry pancakes short stack is awesome and one of my favorites. The Reuben, French toast, chipped beef (SOS), waffles, made to order omelettes and homemade sausage gravy and biscuits are all fantastic. If you want want a fancy, hipster, I only eat kale shakes, style place then please go eat elsewhere as I don't want to see you in here anyway. But if you want damn good breakfast then this is the spot.”
