The Someday Cafe is a very cute cafe and offers something new to the area. Their menu has a French feel to it, offering a variety of sweet and savory crepes, sandwiches, and various coffees, teas, and sweets. I ordered the grilled brioche with Brie cheese, apple slices, fig jam, and caramelized onions. It was served with chips and a small scoop of pasta salad. I thought it was yummy, but a bit on the heavier side. A side salad in place of the chips would have been a better pairing, but overall, a nice treat. I also had their nitro cold brew coffee. I wouldn’t recommend it. Unfortunately, it was slightly fizzy and watery. Nitro typically adds a nice creaminess to the strong coffee, but in this case, the coffee just lacked flavor. The nitro seemed to be running low. My friend ordered a savory crepe with ham, cheese, and fig jam. This was delicious and was served with a stunning presentation. Their crepes are a must have! She has a lactose sensitivity, so it was nice to see that they offered dairy substitutions. She ordered a iced latte with oat milk, and it was really delicious and fresh. All in all this was a good experience. The environment was clean and the prices were reasonable. Their cashier seemed overwhelmed. It’s not that she was unfriendly, but she did not seem particularly excited to be there. This cafe has a lot of potential, especially given their canal-side view and outside seating. They should take advantage of that: can’t wait to see what they do in the future.
