“Pretty good! The front of the store is unassuming, but the back is very nicely decorated, very aesthetic. The juice we got (a citrus blend) was good, a little tart at first, but once you got used to it it was great!”

“Very friendly, courteous yet professional atmosphere. As to the food itself, well (please don't take it out of context), it is heavenly. Every spice is measured and cooked to your delight. Every visit there only confirms why I LOVE Thai food. Kudos to the owner and to the Chefs.”

“Attempted to seek out a new restaurant to dine at today for lunch. Mission deemed successful!!! We were greeted promptly at the door. We chose outdoor seating because it was such a beautiful day. We were lead to the back of the restaurant to a quaint outdoor seating area with a canopy tent. After choosing our seat, we discovered a wonderful herb garden that had just been planted. All employees were very pleasant, and they discussed with us how the restaurant utilizes said herbs in the restaurant. The food was excellent and delivered in a very timely manner! We will definitely be making our way back to the Brick next time we're in Carlisle! Kudos to all employees working that day! Job well done!”

“The hot dog is not hype! It's awesome! You can taste the years of perfecting something simple. And the steak sandwich with mushrooms and onions is amazing! Go hungry, leave happy!”

“We were first visit lunch guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful explaining menu items and terms. Portions are generous so we each ordered something different and shared. Each dish was presented beautifully and the aromas and tastes were delicious and transporting.”

“This is a great bar to hit when in Carlisle. It is a good place to find a constantly rotating list of beers on tap and in bottles. They have good happy hour specials (6-8 everyday) and nice craft and seasonal drinks and food choices. They also hold different events like karaoke and trivia. The large windows offer great light, view, and air in the bar area. They have nice tvs right by the window seating as well as at the bar, and a projection screen in the back which they're always happy to hook up if it's not too busy or a conflicting event going on. Definitely a good sunny day watering hole.”

“Can here for father’s day this year. This is a great place to go if you want excellent food for great prices (think $25 per person for a pretty big meal, though you can choose more expensive options) and a broad selection of quality beers. It’s unique for this area, I certainly don’t see too many Belgian places in the region. It’s definitely worth a visit. They keep a tight menu (usually a good sign) with items between roughly $12 and $30 for entrees. Mussels feature prominently and their fries (featured as an appetizer) are fried in beef tallow and to die for. Our service was absolutely exceptional. Highly attentive though not so involved that if felt intrusive. Highly intuitive and prompt. Only downside really is the decor, no real theme maybe one too many things on the wall.”

“Spent the night at Carlisle Barracks and decided on some Japanese. This showed up and we went, it did not disappoint! The prices were really good and we got our food literally 5 minutes after ordering. The food tastes like it came straight from Tokyo, ant the atmosphere was really nice. The biggest challenge is finding parking since it's metered but it's worth the effort to park and walk. Highly recommended if you are in town.”

“My wife and I stopped here for some dessert after a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed at all! I got the pecan, she got the coconut cream. Two very different yet delicious pies, and both were borderline perfect. We were so impressed that we took a slice of cherry pie home with us for later! We will for sure be returning the next time we are in Carlisle.”

“Decent experience. Serving staff seems a bit inexperienced (or maybe they're just understaffed), so things went a bit slowly. Food runners & bartenders are awesome, though. Yummy food, & consistent quality...just as you'd expect from a chain restaurant. Wouldn't recommend the brisket tacos, though. The members of our party were disappointed in that choice. All in all, I'd definitely return & recommend the restaurant. Don't forget your free birthday dessert!”

“When I can eat my sandwich (at a normal/average pace), faster than the employee made it, then there is an issue. She kept groaning and rolling her eyes, as if she REALLY didn’t want to be there.”

“I've been going to this restaurant for years and it's always been awesome! The food is absolutely delicious! And the selection is great! Actually three prices are pretty good too! The staff is also friendly and helpful! If you want a great selection of delicious Chinese food at a fair price this place is worth going to!”

“While I am usually very pleased with every visit, occasionally some staff aren't very friendly... Could stand to work on that part and listen to customers more seriously when staff issues are reported and address them promptly”

“Great homemade foods especially their soups in their quaint homey setting. My wife and I had the half sandwich and soup which we enjoyed at their outdoor seating area. It's our third or fourth time stopping at this restaurant and we went out of her way to make this visit. If you're in the Carlisle area, I recommend giving it a try.”

“Delicious! Right in the heart of Carlisle, this is the best Mexican food in town. Great portions (I'll try to get a food pic next time...it gets devoured too quickly), sauces & sour cream included! & they're always super friendly. Newly expanded interior means you can eat in, or take out...plus, they deliver ???? one of my favorite places”

“Nothing fancy, but the food was good, and there is more than pizza available. Not much seating, or parking. We got blocked in by their delivery guy at first.”

“The server was Great! She had her running shoes on-it was quite a busy night! She recommended plenty of good drinks, served them quickly, they were excellent and also totally affordable!! I had an amazing Dirty Banana as one of my drinks. So yummy!! We were on the smoking side of the bar, but it wasn't overwhelmingly smoky for me. We will be going back when we are in Carlisle next!”

“We really enjoyed our meal here. My kids got the plain noodles and steamed veggies and my husband and I got sushi. All was really good. The fish seemed fresh and the rolls all had great flavors. Two downfalls to this restaurant. The first is that they serve bottled cokes. I prefer fountain beverages and just generally prefer them. The second would be that they did not have a single changing table in either restroom. In my opinion, if you allow children, you need to have at least one changing table. The food was delicious but we probably won’t return due to the lack of changing tables since we have 2 kiddos on diapers.”

“A fantastic price point for a good flavor. I went for the lunch buffet and it was fantastic. There was one piece of chicken that was weirdly rubbery and the mango custard wasn't anything special. But it was all generally good and a nice atmosphere. Staff was very helpful.”

“The food was pretty good. The service was horrible. The waitress never introduced herself, just asked what we wanted. Overheard her ask other tables about menu questions and explain specials but never asked us. We had to ask for more water twice She only filled one of our glasses each time even though both were empty. I don’t think we were given the same service as everyone else because we were younger (early 20s), which is unacceptable. The hostess was super sweet though!”

“So our experience wasn't the best...but the food was good! We had the English Pasties and aside from wanting either more filling or gravy on the side to dip the pastry in, it was really good and reasonably priced! The drinks were mediocre that night and my friend had a fruit fly in her drink but my friend doesn't like to complain or send things back, so we we mentioned it to the waitress (she just said, "Oh!" and that was that). Since we were on the non-bar side of the place, it was a little dull. I'm wondering if it was the time of day we came that was to problem (9:00-9:30 pm) combined with not sitting on the bar side? I will try Market Cross again and try sitting at one of the booths on the bar side earlier in the day the next time we come to the area....maybe it will be better then.”
