“Passing through Carlisle and wasn't sure what to expect for the size of the shop. Very inviting atmosphere for a consolidated eatery. The desserts looked amazing but I'm limiting my sweet tooth but I included pictures for others' temptation. I selected a turkey panini and was delightfuly surprised as different flavors came through each bite. This was more than just layers placed on bread, there was some flavorful artistry that left me wanting more. It may be easy to miss this little shop but I assure you that you don't want to. I opted for the outdoor seating because the indoor were bar seating only. What Nona Ilva lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor.”

“This is such a hidden gem of a local small business! The woman running the place today was so friendly, told us the story behind some of their product names, and let us sample a variety of things. They didn’t open until 3 pm today but we were there early, so we waited around outside until they did. We sampled all kinds of doughs and ice creams! We ended up getting 4 scoops and two pints of dough to take home, plus kettle corn. The price point was great for this quality of product. We live about 30 minutes away but will be back!”

“Very good food. I was super impressed with the prices and the flavor. Two suggestions: maybe include pita bread with all entrees since you often offer hummas with them. The liver plate (which I loved) didn't come with anything else other than liver which is fine but I just was surprised by that. But the taste, flavor, and pricing were all great. “This place! This place! Four years ago I took my wife to Puerto Rico for her birthday. I have chased the dragon searching for the flavors of Puerto Rico since we got back (especially MOFONGO}! This place ticks every mark for me- the plantains are perfect (and in the mofongo it has the perfect amount of garlic), the meat is absolute perfection. We’ve eaten here the last two Fridays, and I wish I could do it every night. The Boricua platter is probably the tastiest dish in Carlisle. Go here! Keep them in business!!!”

“Great place! We loved the ambiance and the fire station theme. Hook and Flask is a warm, friendly and inviting place with staff to match. Great selection of spirits, beer and wine, but no matter what your preference you should at least sample Mutual Aid, their signature whiskey, straight up or on ice. It's amazingly smooth with pleasant complex flavors batheing your palette in a rich whiskey experience. Easy to drink. Easy to love. And the food! Their eats are delicious and reasonably priced. We went for brunch one Sunday and I got the Apple Shine French Toast. Incredible! Definitely going back to try everything at least once. You should too.”

“This is the greatest Subway I have ever been to in my entire life. The friendliest manager, and a good staff, whatever time of day I come in my sub is always done well and delicious. Seriously, you can tell these guys to do anything, sometimes I tell them 15 different sauces that I want on the sub, or a ridiculous amount of Cheese, anything. They can really do anything here. H*ck, half the time I tell them to just make me anything they want. These are some creative people. My only joy in life is breaking down the spirits of young impressionable children at their first job and the will of this crew will never break, no matter how often I say "just a few more black olives" for the 15th time. I've come in with strange ideas like a pizza bagel (which is not on the menu) and they made it for me. I promised them if I couldn't make one of them cry I'd give them a 5 star review. No tears in my subs yet. Edit Came in, bread was hard, asked for oil on my sub, received little to no oil. This means war Mr/Mrs. Fresh. - 1 Star Edit 2 I wanted some of the hot pepper relish on my sub, I'm trying to watch my calories. One of your sandwich artist decided that a metric butt ton of hot pepper relish was necessary. I forgave the mayo incident, but you're on thin ice Mr or Mrs Subway - 1 star”
