“Absolutely love Bacco- it’s a must-visit in downtown Harrisburg!! I’ve been going with my boyfriend consistently since we moved to the area, and we love the food, service and atmosphere here. The Happy Hour specials are THE BEST- I highly recommend coming here after work during the week with friends. On weekends, there’s always a great crowd at the bar. John at the bar is amazing- he’s such a knowledgeable bartender and foodie. I can’t say enough good things!”

“My husband by ourselves or with friends and family have been coming here for years. The shop is intimate and cozy with window nooks and pillows and fur. In warmer weather there are cafe tables outside. It is very convenient to the Harrisburg Symphony and Open Stage and the Gamut Theatre and State Museum and Whitaker Center for example. We stop in for a dessert crepe and coffee or tea after a show or between meals after a museum visit. We go for lunch or dinner before a show and get a savory crepe/salad and a dessert crepe plus a drink for 1/2 the price of a meal at other restaurants and although it feels like time slows down a bit at Au Bon Lieu, the timing of the service is perfect and we always get to the show on time!”

“This is my favorite low key spot for a date night. It's affordable and delicious. If you are looking for a date night location, this spot is nestled right in strawberry square. There are lights strung up over the street and it's gorgeous at night. While this restaurant doesn't provide the cocktails that one might want to enjoy during an evening out, there are many bars and a couple more restaurants near by that serve alcohol. There's also a cute, authentic crepe spot just a hop skip and jump away for dessert. Easily my favorite area of Harrisburg.”

“We were traveling to see family for the holidays and got to talking with our flights captain before we boarded and asked if he had any recommendations for dining in Harrisburg and he recommended El Sol. Nice atmosphere and decor, we felt like we were dining in a restaurant in Mexico. Come to find out the owner and head chef is from Mexico and he takes an incredible amount of pride in his place. You can tell that but the decor and more specifically the food. You definitely won't leave hungry as they have huge portions and everything we ordered was served hot and tasty. We decided to sit in the bar and the bartender Mark was awesome. Great recommendations for the cocktails we had and he didn't skimp on the alcohol. Definitely not expensive either like you would expect for a more upscale Mexican restaurant. I’m not a fan of Americanized Chinese food and this place was completely different from any Chinese food I’ve had in Harrisburg. The service was incredibly quick and very friendly. The prices are also really good. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new and I will definitely be returning.”
