Freeport Restaurant

It took my neighbor in Ohio to get me to go here. I have been by it a few times when I lived here but on a recent stop at Freeport beach, we stopped in for lunch. The family really enjoyed the food and it's been awhile since I had an ox roast sandwich.

Stopped for breakfast on our way to fishing in the lake. Best country breakfast I've had anywhere. Loved it so much we went back for lunch. They had the best gluten-free bread that I've ever had on a sandwich. Highly recommend this place

The service is friendly, but their fish dinners aren't as good as they used to be. Last two times they were dried out and not worth the price or long drive. Other items are still good, but they must have new cooks who don't know how to do their specials.

The portions were generous and the food was delicious. Our server was a pro and anticipated all our needs. The Freeport Sampler had a wide variety of food. We’ll definitely be coming again. Maybe even tomorrow :)

Freeport is a staple, not just of North East, but if the entire region. The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Prime rib, perch, salads, and desserts are some of the great menu items Freeport is know for. If you don't live in North East, Freeport is definitely worth the drive. I recommend taking Route 5 the entire way. The view of Lake Erie and the smell if the grapes in the fall is worth it!
