Zapata has THE BEST tacos I have ever tried, anywhere, ever. Literally absolute perfection. We live in a college town in Michigan, if J Zapata was out these the other Restaurants in our town would be easily outpaced and likely need to shut down.”

“I'm in the area for business and didn't want a burger - fast food or otherwise. This place ticked all the marks I was looking for - authentic, well priced, local gem, and DELICIOUS. I had the tacos Mexicanos with pastor (marinated pork, ordered medium spice) and a side of their special Zapata style rice and beans (hot). The medium spice tacos were what most other places would call spicy. Ordering hot anything here is NOT for the faint of heart! The tacos themselves were delicious, juicy, with plenty of lime to squeeze over it. The rice and beans I couldn't finish - both because the tacos were quite filling and because they were extremely spicy. Another patron I was with made the same mistake and went back to order something mild/medium. There wasn't any plans to sit when I was there, but I could see them putting some plastic chairs and tables out when it's warm out.”
