La bamba has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Philly. The food is delicious, cheap and the portions leave you stuffed! The place is very tiny and dimly lit (in the best kind of way) with great decorations and a CD player that could be playing anything from opera to obscure 60s rock. Best of all (besides the food) is Michael, the one man show of La Bamba, who cooks, cleans and takes your order. It feels like you're getting a home-cooked meal from a good friend, with love in every bite.

Fun and quirky. Try the brisket...it's fantastic! The owner/chef is a really nice guy and makes his own chips, and the food is great.

Great hole in the wall Mexi joint with a fun atmosphere. The chef’s favorite tunes fill the restaurant with an upbeat vibe while you munch away on homemade chips and salsa. The made to order brisket burrito is a must have.
