Charlie's Roast Pork

I think I may have just had the best sandwich in Philadelphia. The chicken cutlet was so good I couldn’t put it down. The chicken was so fresh and the bread was amazing. Charlie’s is a must for anyone living in Philadelphia or visiting

It starts with a large-seeded roll, with a good crust, a bit bready but very easy to eat. You can tell they care about every sandwich, and the one thing that separates Charlie's from the pack is they have plenty of seating. Plus, they are connected to the Pennsport Beer Boutique, which sells hundreds of craft beers.

Stop whatever you're doing and head directly to Charlie's Roast Pork. This is not a drill. It is an emergency if you are hungry for a great cheese steak and tasty beer!! Holy Mackerel!! Eating a cheesesteak at Charlie's Roast Pork while drinking a beer from the Beer Boutique maybe the best thing you can do with clothes on!! Seeded awesome roll. Very good amount of very good tasty meat. Broccoli Rabe and Provolone seemed to be their thing so I went with it and I am glad I did!! Tables, bathroom and beer boutique, slap my face and take me to Charlie's. Great overall experience.

In response to certain reviews, here are my two cents. As an owner of Charlie's Roast Pork, Pennsport Beer Boutique and Caffe Valentino, we take great pride in being a part of the Pennsport Community for more than 15 years. My family is from this neighborhood. We are blue collar workers, union workers, hard workers, 2 streeters. We are people that just want a good sandwich (for breakfast/lunch or dinner), a simple cup of coffee that's not bitter or expensive, and a nice cold 16oz Miller Lite for $2.50 (cheaper than a fancy coffee). We don't need to be complex, or ostentatious.

We support and hire from the neighborhood, creating jobs in the community. We invest to have bright lights so people feel safe walking around even at night. We put our blood, sweat and tears into these business for years and aren't going to let a neighboring business that spends more time generating fake news on social media than managing his own business. Small people feel big when they criticize on social media. It's not my style.

If you're an average Joe, or just want a cup of Joe with an egg sandwich that isn't going to break the bank, then please come in and judge our location for yourself! We're opened for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with hours expanding in the fall.

By the way, if you have a complaint, we always strive to do better, and have already enclosed the trash, rectifying the problem. You can come to us directly, rather than posting negativity.
