Had a terrific meal here while dining outdoors. The outside seating is pretty much just on the sidewalk on Broad St but it provided an extra-urban backdrop for an excellent meal.
Started with the Ceasar Salad, which was one of the best I have ever had. The main course was the veal chop, relatively unadorned, but juicy and perfect. Desserts were excellent, as well.
Would have loved to have enjoyed the indoor ambiance, but outside seemed the way to go.
This place definitely lived up to expectations and then some.
Can't speak enough praises for this restaurant. At the root of it, the food is OUTSTANDING. All in all, the food is flavorful, hearty, and simple Italian at an extremely affordable rate. This place is not a fine-dining restaurant - it doesn't aspire to be that, but rather an iconic Philly restaurant: simple, high quality, and affordable for the price.
However, this family restaurant provides more than exceptional food. They are very friendly, good-hearted people providing good hospitality.
Please don't miss this spot if you want a nice Italian meal.
Great food and great service. Owners personally stopped by our table to check in on our experience. And the food was do authentic and delicious. They also took precautions for all customers, taking temperatures at the door and masks. Great place!
This is a warm, long-time neighborhood Italian restaurant with loyal staff and killer food. We came here all the way from Denver and we're VERY glad we came! We had the 3 seafood gnocchi and the veal with olives. Had to bring some back to our hotel for tomorrow!! Definitely would come back!!
My partner fans I both ordered the seafood pasta - one with the pesto sauce and one with the rose sauce. They were both really good but the blush sauce is definitely what wowed us most! The place is also BYOB which is obviously a great plus but they do have a small bar themselves.
