“We had been previous customers and decided to go for dinner. As a matter of fact, we've now been twice. We had a house salad (generous size) and Broccoli Garlic pizza...delicious! Also had the calamari which my husband and I split as an appetizer. It had a few fried hot peppers tossed in which was a nice surprise. The pies looked great and the apple pie was very good. Great atmosphere at night, low light and soft music. Responsive friendly staff. We will definitely be going back to try the specialty pizzas. So glad you've finally opened!”

“The food was excellent and the service even better. The rooms are newly renovated.....not opulent, but adequate for what I needed and when I needed. Right on the River and I go there for the quiet and the Bald Eagles in the area. The owner and staff were very attentive, friendly and aware of client's needs.”

“My wife and I celebrated or 23rd anniversary weekend here. Food was excellent, everything tasted great and portions were huge. Buffet sat night offered a wide selection and event was fresh and delicious. Breakfast was also amazing! Downside is you will overeat! Music during dinner was also very nice. The room was fine but needs updating. In room fireplace and huge jacuzzi were great! ”

“My wife and I stayed here over a weekend in early October and had a nice time. The hotel is historic but has been renovated and has many amenities but if you are used to the Marriott you'll find some things missing. There is plenty of parking in the back. There are about 18 rooms on three floors. There is an elevator but we just took the stairs. Given the size of the hotel the staff tend to multitask and we did have to wait a bit at both check in and check out. The room was nice (we had upgraded) but on the small side. More like NYC size than rural PA but there was room to move around. There was a small desk and chair as well as a soft chair and a bench for luggage. Coffee maker was in the closet with a refillable water bottle. If you needed anything the staff were good about running it up to you. For instance it was a bit chilly and they brought up a space heater. The windows didn't seal very well so it was drafty but I like sleeping in a bit of a chill so I was OK but my wife likes it warm. Oh, they will bring you milk and cookies at night if you call and ask. The bathroom is the star of the room and was large and beautifully decorated with marble everywhere. There is a restaurant in the basement called Bar Loius; the food and service were great but the ambiance of the basement was a bit lacking. There is also a white tablecloth restaurant on the ground floor which we didn't try. It doubles as the breakfast room which is included. Servers were good but didn't really explain things so it was a bit confusing. Basically you can order certain items (or multiples) of some things included or pay a la cartel for others. They give you a bill and then you can opt to leave a tip etc. The food was good but portions were small so order more than one thing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the town. The staff were very good and the place is nice but pricey, especially if you upgrade to the higher floor corner rooms.”

“Great place to stop and eat if in the area. Delicious, large sandwiches at a reasonable price. Each sandwich is made fresh and sometimes requires some time to make. Seating is available inside, and knickknacks are sold inside for fun gifts if needed as well. Great place to take a break from driving.”

“It's was good, everything seemed very fresh. Clean. Prompt, friendly service. Food came out quickly. We got the #1 family platter and it fed four with leftovers. Good large portions of everything. Would go again if we were ever in the area again. Easy stop just a bit off the highway and a large enough parking lot to back around our camper. No wait on Sunday afternoon and you can choose to sit inside or outside.”

“Ignore the negative reviews about Hawley Burger Company and GO! The food was amazing, and so was the service. Everything came out fresh and hot. The pretzel coated chicken was delicious, the burgers were delicious, the fries were addictive. You will not regret going here. It is worth the wait to have fresh food! “Wait time for walking in on a Friday evening with no reservations was good. (20 minutes) Lobster crab bisque delicious. Seafood cakes are fresh, not the best, but good. Waitress though attentive, didn't offer specials, which was a missed sale on their part.”

“We love stopping for ocean cream at Gresham’s Ice Cream Shop! They have a large selection of flavors and options. All of the ice cream, except for rocky road, are certified Kosher. The staff has always been friendly to us and the line moves quickly. We like to walk across the street to eat our ice cream while walking along the dyke. Sometimes there are fireworks off in the distance making the experience very romantic. There’s plenty of parking and the shop is wheelchair accessible.”

And all items are always fresh and reasonably priced. Not to mention the genuinely friendly people working there!”
