Bouchard Inn & Restaurant

My wife and I had a little get-away to Newport and stayed here for 2 nights in early July. This inn was a perfect match for us. Carmen at the front desk was very hospitable in introducing us to Newport. Our room was nicely updated from what the original building must have been. It was perfectly clean and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, it had an AC unit, and we had our own bathroom with full shower. There was also a coffee maker with assorted coffees and teas, wine glasses, mini-fridge with water, juice, and milk, and all items were complimentary...nice touch. Room service cleaned very well. There is also free parking in the back; a very big deal where parking is tough during tourist season. You get a small complimentary continental breakfast hung on your door each morning as opposed to going downstairs to a sit-down breakfast. There was a parfait and homemade pastry. It was delicious and filling.

We liked that this place was just south of the very busy parts of downtown but still easy to walk to...probably a 10-15 minute walk. We would walk in for lunch and/or dinner each day. There's also an Irish pub right next door if you don't feel like walking, and they had a fun atmosphere with good food/drink.
Bottom line....we look forward to staying there again. Enjoy!

Everything was perfect! Best service and meal in town, and the desserts are a must!

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel on Memorial Day weekend and it was excellent. The hotel had easy and accessible parking all weekend. The receptionist was extremely helpful! Since it was our first time in Newport, she took the time to explain and map out all of Newport's best restaurants, bars, and tourist areas. She then showed us to our room where she had opened the windows and made the room very comfortable. It was all very welcoming and accommodating. The room was comfortable, quiet, private, and spacious. Lastly, the complimentary breakfasts were delicious. They were different each day and were hot, fresh, and on time (8:30am). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.

Went for our Anniversary dinner and could not be more pleased. Everything was perfect. Dan was wonderful and very attentive. The appetizers and entrees very presented beautifully and were delicious. We had the escargot, filet, lobster and scallops, and the profiteroles. It was a lovely evening, thank you!

The food was amazing. The quality and the presentation were excellent. The service was also very good. The reason four stars instead of five is twofold. The first reason is that there is a plate sharing fee for appetizers. The apps were delicious however in my opinion they were big enough for two people. Charging a fee to share is not something I was not okay with. The second reason is the hand drying towels in the bathrooms are glorified fast food napkins. I expect much higher quality hand drying towels at an establishment such as this.

Overall, my wife and I had a very lovely dinner with excellent food and wonderful service.
