I have stayed here a few times and it is a great place if you are in Newport. The location is perfect and you can walk just about anywhere once you are parked. The rooms are clean and very nice. The staff is very accommodating and nice as well. The breakfast is great as well as the drinks. This is one of my favorite places to stay when I'm looking for a weekend away in Newport.

This is always a go-to spot for us when we visit Newport. In the summertime, it's great to sit at the outside bar. During the cooler months, it's great to enjoy a cocktail by the indoor fireplaces. Food and service are both high-quality. Very good spot!

In fairness, I can only rate the service from the doorman. Who engaged me in front of the hotel while I was walking my dog. He was very polite and genuinely keen to pet my dog and extend kindness. I did ask but his name escapes me it was possibly Joel. Very nice young man who is a credit to the whole establishment. If first impressions count, he got 5 stars for politeness and engagement.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The room and the hotel are lovely, and they make a mean cup of coffee. However, the bed had a huge divot in them. They were not a very good night’s sleep despite the luxury hotel linens. Hoping they replace some mattresses before we stay here next year.

Last min trip to Newport to get out of the house and decided to stay at the hotel. We had no reservation and knew we were going to take a hit on the rate. the location is perfect so we just went for it. The room was small but very nice, the staff was outstanding. We had dinner close by because there was a wedding and it was a bit noisy but we did have breakfast the next day and it was great. We were surprised with how hot the reception/bar area was, we noticed all the windows were open and the a/c made no difference and that's one of the reasons we went out for dinner. Even though the hotel is at a perfect location, the price does not make sense. I went once but don't think I will be back. There are great hotels around for a lot less. A LOT LESS.
