“Went here for the first time today. I ordered The Long Beach sandwich and was not disappointed. The sandwich was stacked high with meat and flavor. The guy behind the counter really cared about the composition of sandwich and it showed. Incredibly filled with meat and flavor. It was so filling I had half a sandwich left over for dinner. “We just visited this evening, tried nearly all the skewers (including the gizzards and hearts). Everything was delicious, but I was especially fond of the sausage and the Korean pork belly. The belly had a topping of chopped kimchee and a slightly sweet glaze that combined to be tasty. We'll be visiting again soon.”

“The co reviewer read about a new restaurant opening up in the Sons of Italy hall in East Providence and we decided to give it a shot. The building has a large lot so parking should not be a problem. From the outside it looks just like the hall has for years. The bar is on the right and the restaurant is in the dinning room to the left. The place is clean and comfortable and Dawn our server was so nice to us the entire evening. The table bread was served with their delicious homemade butter. We started with the stuffies and their RI based hot sauce. I had the fish and chips with a RI based ketchup and the co reviewer had the scallops. Everything was excellent and very flavorful! The Rhode Island made condiments were such a unique and tasteful touch. This is definitely a place we would come back to.”

“Amazing! The food was delicious! Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We had the garlic shrimp with mushrooms as an appetizer which was delicious, especially if you like garlic (they did not hold back). Table side guacamole and fresh chips! And I ordered the trio platter which came with steak, chicken and 3 bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp. Rice, beans and guacamole. All delicious! The churros were also delicious, served fresh with caramel. I also tried a few of there margaritas and they are just as good, and huge! Not watered down or mostly sour mix, you can actually taste the liquor. The price is great for the size and quality of the drinks. I will definitely be back, so nice to finally have a quality Mexican restaurant in East Providence!”

“Exceptional fish and chips. You can substitute onion rings for fries as well! We love the big sized pieces of fish that were sweet and fresh The staff are quick and helpful. There is a small section of tables to dine in. They have parking on the street or the BofA parking lot for a quick in and out. We have never gotten a bad meal and they have some extra good prices We have yet to try their pizzas as we keep walking out with Fish & Chips. This place is popular with the locals as well as with the lunch crowd. #RockFromRI”

“This review based on food alone would indefinitely be 5 stars. Customer service included I wish I could give it 10 stars. The owner is extremely hospitable and made the experience all the better. Each of our sushi dishes were tasty and probably the freshest fish I've ever had. Fried rice, scallion pancakes and chicken all tasted high quality and flavorful. I would highly advise giving it a try if you're in the area or even traveling to if you're looking for a great experience.”

“I’ve been here several times, good food, good drinks. I recommend it to lots of people. My 1 gripe is once you’re seated it takes A server at least 10 to 15 minutes to initially come to the table. It hasn’t happened once or twice, it has literally happened every single time I’ve been there (at least 4 times). When I was there last week there was somebody there who came in the same time as I did. I waited more than 15 minutes for a server to come to my table. After I had gotten my drinks the customer came in to ask if anybody was serving the tables outside, they had been waiting longer than me. That is really the only negative, but it’s very frustrating. So if you’re not in a big rush, and you’re not starving, go to the Black duck because the food really is good. They really really need to work on their service when people initially sit down. I have to note that the first time I was there and the waitress took quite a while to come over to us, she did apologize and take the drinks off the tab without us asking. That was really nice of her. Other than that no one has even ever acknowledged that we have been sitting there waiting.”
