“Coming back from a motorcycle trip from savanna ga, we stumbled across this place , we had been riding for several days and looked like a couple of saddle bums and was a little apprehensive to go in, being a small town, sometime you do not get the best reception. Time we walked in the door we where greeted with smiling faces and superb service. There is a buffet for breakfast that was outstanding, growing up in a small town we ate a lot of liver pudding (Have not had it in 20 years.) and was surprised to see it on the menu. All the food was fresh and had that home cooked flavor. If your down that way,check it out.”

“Howie's is a family restaurant in the old greasy-spoon style, serving Southern-fried favorites like fat onion rings with huge chicken tenders in a light, crispy, golden batter dip; crunchy, fried okra with an awesome fried fish sandwich; stewed lima beans and fries with a pork chop sandwich...or shrimp...or lots more. The Coke is cold, tea is sweet, and the service is even sweeter. We had a nice drive, sat in the air conditioning to eat, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.”
