What a gem! So glad we found it for an afternoon brunch on a trip from Hilton Head to Charleston. The shrimp and grits were delicious, according to my husband. I had an omelette with cheesy grits that were absolutely perfect. My son had a generous portion of french toast that did not need syrup. My other son had a melty grilled cheese that was cooked to perfection. There is also a shop filled with whimsical yard decor, handmade soaps, wind chimes, local honey and jams.
Very tasty food. Staff is delightful to be around and atmosphere is quaint (yet inviting).
What a delightful little spot off the beaten track in Beaufort, SC. We were at the USCB center just down the street for an honors convocation for our graduating granddaughter. We needed something close for lunch. There were a couple very hungry grandsons in our party and we were impressed at the wonderfully varied menu, including breakfast items. Our table ordered everything from a full breakfasts to crab cakes, a Reuben sandwich, a Cuban sandwich, desserts, ice tea and espresso. One grandson had two meals. Fresh breads and house made specialties make this restaurant stand out. Each person proclaimed their meal to be the best. You can't get better recommendations than that. The weather was wonderful, so it was also great to be able to sit outdoors on their patio area.
The ambience of the place is really nice. By the water front, lots of sun, trees, it's great. The food is very good but not great. Very high standards were set in Charleston on the trip. The hostess was very cordial and friendly. Would definitely go back for the ambience.
