I would highly recommend trying the black beans and rice, the best I've had in a long time. Some of the food was a little closer to room temperature than I prefer, but it was still good and fresh. The location is easy to miss if you're not looking for it.”

Never ran out of coffee. A little noisy drama with one of the staff whose every other word was an f bomb. “JR's is one of my favorite places. The food is incredible, hand cut fries, house made pizza crust, perfectly marinated steaks (Thursday is steak night!) and so many other delicious foods. “When I got there I was hesitant because it wasn't very busy. Just one group of 3 at a table. My daughters and I ordered from a very nice young lady. “The food was tasty and our server was friendly. It's a bar catering to the Naval Base so there's stuff to do like pool tables, darts, an arcade with Skee ball and out door seating. Friday night has a DJ with Karaoke. The dive fries were yummy but beware: the order is huge. Our wings were hot and crispy and I loves the steak tacos. Will definitely be back. “This is a nice, clean local spot. We were just passing through and stopped in for lunch. The burgers were good, but not great. Just a little over-cooked, which is very common these days. It seems like the kind of place that has lots of regulars each day. The bartender was very nice and friendly. There are several pool tables and I imagine it's a lively evening crowd. All in all, it seems like a really good local hangout.”

“I have always really enjoyed their salsas. The salsa verde and salsa verde with avocado are great. My husband really likes the red salsa. They give you all 3 salsas in a squirt bottle each time. Food is good. They close early on Saturday nights. We have gone to eat on Saturday nights and they were closed before the closing time. Other then that they are still good. We have been going since, they opened up. We normally go once a month.”

“My husband ordered from the drive-thru on Tuesday evening. 2 power bowls, with a few extra "toppings". He realized after leaving the store, that although he was charged for the correct order, the order was not correct. None of the extras were added, and one ingredient was missing from our orders all together. I phoned the store to ask, because I wasn't sure if servings had been reduced or if the order was actually wrong. The young man who answered did confirm that the extras didn't sound as though they had been added, and he took my name. He told us that when we could get back to the store this week, just give them my name and place the order again and it would be made right at no charge. We don't really see a need to go through all of that. We ate what we were given. It wasn't COMPLETELY wrong. We just didn't get the extras. I do appreciate the willingness to correct the mistake, and that's why I gave this review 4 stars.”

“The food is good when they actually get stuff right. We get only two toppings and once we only had one but paid for both. Once the delivery was an hour and a half late. Poor organization skills I think. Cheesy bread is good, New York style pizza is good. If something else goes wrong I’ll probably stop but they’ve only had two strikes.”
