Athens Restaurant & Grill

Just randomly stopped in and had a fabulous meal with a girlfriend. Server Dorothy was a pleasure and very funny! Food was YUMMY and house wine carafe did the trick! Would definitely come back when in Charleston.

Me and my family had one of the best pizzas! Also we had the best special Athens salad and salmon salad. Also very good prices & value

We moved to Johns Island a year ago and we always passed Athens. Finally we decided to give it a try and my god we discovered a great restaurant! Me and my wife for starters we had calamari and saganaki cheese on flame, both of them were delicious!
For our dinner we had the combo for two, a huge plate with a spinach pie, Greek chicken and Greek style lamb. That came also with a two small Greek dinner salads orzo and the potatoes. That was an amazing platter!
The Greek home made dessert named Galaktobureko, was recommended by our server Dorothy, she gave us the best service. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert and we made a promise to each other to go back soon! Finally we found the best Greek restaurant!!

I lived in Charleston for 2 years and unfortunately never made it to this restaurant. I was recently back for the US Women's Open and went to Athens for lunch. I had an absolutely delicious Greek salad with grilled salmon ... to die for. A couple of days later I was without dinner plans so I headed back to Athens as my mouth watered at the prospect .... and was again delighted. The staff is wonderfully warm and friendly and the owner is a delight. A bonus was the lovely Greek music playing in the background.... I almost felt transported across the ocean. If you are looking for yummy mediterranean fare.... and a down-to-earth warm comfy feel.... Athens is a MUST.
