The burger and whipped feta was amazing! The service was great as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We've been wanting to come here for some time based on the mainly positive reviews. My overall impression is that this place has some positives, but nothing we will be running back to.

First, we had reservations early in the evening. So when we arrived the restaurant wasn't that busy and we asked if we could have a booth. We were told no, that you have to have a minimum of 3 people. Unfortunately, all of the booths were empty the entire time we were there, and we were given one of those tiny 2 person tables that was on top of the people sitting next to us????.

The food is tasty, but portions are a bit on the conservative side. I ordered the fish of the day, which was quite good. However, I kept biting into what I thought were tiny pebbles. My wife suggested it was undercooked rice. When I brought it to our servers attention she seemed to dismiss my concerns that it was really hard to bite, by saying it was Carolina rice, and supposed to he crunchy. I don't mind crunchy, but this rice was rock hard and unfortunately spoiled the otherwise tasty dish.

With so many options Downtown, I don't think we'll be rushing back here. If you don't mind smaller portions and appreciate farm to fresh, then you would probably want to give it a try.

Tasty morsels in a bright, open space that still feels cozy. Interesting takes on Southern and Low Country fare. Sometimes it got a little out there in terms of combinations but two points for trying. The desserts were to die for. Save room.

Love this place!!! Everything soooooooo fresh and tasty. We love coming here for brunch. And you can seat at the bar, where you can see the food is being prepared, which is cool!
Pastries are super yummy too, but they go fast :)
    Highly recommend :)
    Cheers:)

Butcher & Bee is a known local favorite. It's decorated in a very minimalist fashion but still comfortable. Though I wouldn't consider the dress code to be formal during all hours, I would recommend khakis at minimum for the men and dress pants or skirt/dress for the women. The music is a bit loud for my taste and makes conversation difficult at times. The food is plated beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. However, as a vegetarian I found the options limited. The appetizer I ordered was a butternut squash with a cream sauce and was delicious. The main course however, contained several smaller dishes that I felt were awkwardly paired and didn't create a cohesive meal. On the other hand my friend who I was dining with loved her dish. When ordering a cocktail you may want to be specific if you're looking for a mild mix. The drinks are delicious but not made for the light weight in the group.
