What a great little spot! I loved the fried chicken and BBQ ribs. My son didn’t really enjoy the Mac and cheese, not kraft, and when we were leaving, Ruth noticed and was so concerned that he didn’t enjoy his food she brought him some banana pudding. Real southern hospitality! She said, I gotta have him leave happy.

I got my son's leftovers this time and no chicken but the mac and cheese and collards are so good! I wish I had a piece of chicken to combine that perfect bite with all that flavor! My husband said there was only one person working when they went this afternoon and the kiddos were taking orders. ???? Still on point and I'm going to have to make a trip into Charleston to get mine very soon!

Fantastic small business with a delicious menu featuring rotating items. We were able to taste almost everything available on the menu, and it was difficult to choose a favorite. The lima beans were nicely done, the bread pudding was to die for, and the sweet tea is so sweet your momma will feel it! 10/10 a must-eat for anyone in the area!

Amazing... the food is amazing. While to the untrained eye this establishment may appear to be a dive, it is truly a hidden jewel. Limited seating and authentic fare... be warned once you Martha Lou you can't go back to regular food... also restrooms are outside and it might be a bit tight for those who are wheelchair or power chair dependant. The staff is friendly and prices are great!

Such a charming experience. Everything from the waitress to the meal itself just could not have been better. The staff was so wonderful and welcoming I felt like I was at a family member's house. The food was unexplainably delicious. There's a very good reason this restaurant has been a staple in this community for years.
