Excellent meal!! We had a late lunch in town, plus it was extra hot out so we decided to stay in the hotel for dinner to make it easy. Started with a little she-crab soup which was very tasty. I had a medium rare salmon with crispy skin over cauliflower mousse and baby beets. It was perfect. My son got the cheeseburger with pimento cheese and tomato jam- which he really loved. Daughter kept it simple with some plain buttered pasta with pine nuts- you could definitely tell it was housemade though. My wife had the green goddess salad with crab and roasted radishes-AMAZING! I hate radishes but these tasted so good, I finished what she didn't. We ended the meal by sharing the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and the challah bread pudding with candied bacon. Both were excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who likes good food.
The Barbadoes Room Restaurant at the Mills House in Charleston is a great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or drinks at the bar. This restaurant is very Charleston and I have had an excellent experience every time I have been here. I like the option of being able to eat inside the restaurant or outside in the courtyard on a nice day. The food is wonderful and each item on the menu is a good choice so you cannot go wrong. The staff here is very efficient and friendly and is quick to make sure that you have everything you need. This is also a great event space for private events as I have attended many here and it is big enough with space for several hundred people. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston.
Great food and service! Love the courtyard.
They have been around for very good reason! Everything was great and a wonderful choice to spend our Easter here.
Went back for brunch. The shrimp and grits were good. The mimosas had more champagne than juice, which is awesome! The hostess was just as nice and friendly as the last time I was there. They also had a guy singing and playing the piano which I thought was a nice touch. Will be back!
