Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream

We only had ice cream, but we visited twice on our trip. The ice cream is very good. However, the whipped cream is not real whipped cream, it’s that room-temp topping that comes in a plastic pastry bag. The milkshakes and great, thick and made with the hard ice cream. Their ordering system is not efficient, but it is effective and you get exactly what you order.

Ye Ole AWESOME! Great food! Great ice cream! Great service! The only problem is everybody in town knows it! It’s very busy but worth the wait.

The ice cream is delicious! But 3 stars because the server/ice cream person taking the order was just simply miserable. No emotions, no smile and why would you wanna work in an ice cream place being so UNHAPPY! Ice cream is happy food therefore IF you work here maybe try to pretend to wanna work ya know. 2 ice cream cones came out to 12$ and the server charged us 29$. Unhappy and can’t do simple math.
But ice cream is good.

I am so grateful for the addition of the beyond burger to the menu! A wonderful diner setting with inexpensive and delicious food. As a kid I remember going to ye old fashioned and since becoming vegetarian I had missed the opportunity to grab a regular burger. I am happy to be a customer once again! :)

This place is pretty cramped and not exactly convenient for pedestrians (pretty far from King/Meeting Street). The parking is pretty non-existent as well. However, the food was good as well as the ice cream. You could always sit outside but that area has that oh so familiar "Charleston Smell" ™️. You know, like the world has swamp butt or something. I'd recommend coming here if you want good ice cream and are coming from John's Island.
