Service was good from beginning to end. Food and drinks were also good. I will definitely be back.
Great place to catch your favorite teams. Especially when more than one of your favorites play at the same time. They do a great job diversifying the sports and games. Foods a little pricey for pub style, but it's above average quality.
This place consistently delivers good food but really falls down in ambience and service. There is no reason to have a loud DJ at 6:30 p.m. when the place is 1/3 full and people are eating their dinners. The service is mediocre - absent frequently - but tonight was just so strange when my husband ordered a double bourbon - we were told he had to pay extra for the extra ice (??? - fine, if you need to change extra for ice just do it). The debacle took so long that it was a good 10 minutes before our drinks arrived (and I saw the bartender dancing around because there were barely any customers). The bourbon literally was filled to within a centimeter of the top of the glass with ice and the bourbon was sadly sitting at the bottom.
I'll probably keep coming back because the food is good but man is the service consistently not effective.
I never knew pork chops could masquerade as chicken fried steak! King Street Grille on Hungry Neck never disappoints me. I thought the cheese steak sandwich was my favorite entree here, but my dinner tonight has me rethinking. First let me say this tower of food was impressive...mashed potatoes with the right sized chunks so you know they are real, 2 chicken fried chops seasoned just right atop that potato mound, plated on top of cream gravy, with a surround of more gravy and fresh succotash. Just delicious..surprising to get such a tasty, beautiful dinner in a classy sports pub. Oh, no, I am far from complaining. My rating would have been 5 stars if the potatoes and gravy had been hotter. Food worthy of a Shem Creek venue for just a bit less $$$. I hope you are heading for your car and dinner out at King St. Grille!
NO Wait. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was the best part. Ordered the Mac and cheese egg rolls and would of never thought how good they would be. Came out piping hot ????. Then we ordered the cheese steak and the Charleston chicken and both where out of this world! Please go see Meghan as your server. See didnt miss a beat.
