Fresh off the boat. Sounds cheesy but true. Simple restaurant with outstanding food. Tables covered in butcher paper, circle food choice with a sharpie. They bring boiled peanuts as an appetizer. Yes. And yes let warn you food is served on paper plates.

Is it just me, or does this place seem exceedingly overpriced? I love peel-&-eat boiled shrimp, but 5 shrimp for ~$9 is over the top (labeled 3 oz) yeah, that's about right, but seriously? As others caution, it's a screened in porch w/o AC and the furniture is the kind that can be cleaned with a fire hose. Believe me, it gets HOT in there.
Service was excellent and the location is unique and otherwise pleasant. Curiously busy considering the hidden location and high prices.

Overall the food was good....but for the price you pay the portion size was lacking. I went with the #7 which was grill shrimp and scallops. The meal came with 4 scallops and 7 medium/normal size shrimp. I would have expected more for the price.

    Good
-Shrimp and scallops were lightly seasoned which was nice. Wasn’t too over season you couldn’t taste the protein.
-The grill was done really well.

    Bad
    -Portion size was small.
    -Price for what you got.
-Time it took to get the food.

Oh my. The wife and I are always on the hunt for that ‘special place’. The one that the locals frequent and it’s off the beaten path. If that’s what you’re searching for, give The Wreck a try. The food was fantastic and the service friendly. Don’t expect much from the dinning area...this is a no frills place with good food and a minimalist approach. The beer comes in cans and the food on paper plates. But man is it good. Highly recommended and suggest you give it a try! I’ll certainly be back!
