never been before. pleasantly surprise. we arrived at closing and they were happy to allow us to order. no attitude or bad words. the fesh is plentiful and the fries are way too much. price seemed high to me, but wife felt it was fair and reasonable

Love the fish and chips here. The owner is super cool and always around checking on his guests and how they are enjoying things. Staff at the counter are super efficient and fast paced. The bartenders always friendly and the overall vibe is just fantastic. Great food and people!! Authentic British fish, chips, mushy peas, and herb tarter sauce. Hugh portion and food cooked fresh to order for maximum crunch!! Building outside needs some work, but ignore that, food is great!!

I've been going here for years. Prices have gone up a little bit but still amazing food and easily beat the other chip shops in the surrounding areas. The competition isn't even close. They moved a few years ago to this location and now have a small pub area and are working on building a patio. The chips may be the best in town but aren't the best I've had (large and fluffy but not crispy). The fish is huge, fresh, and lightly fried. Their tartar sauce is a bit thinner than some may be used to but I prefer it that way. The mushy peas are a must try. Don't sleep on the potato and leek pie if they have some left, they go quickly.

There was a wait, but it was worth it. Fish was really good. Fresh out of the fryer. The fries (chips) were pretty plain. More than enough for one person. Tarter sauce was also a treat. Everyone ran out with the large fish.

You really can't do batter-fried fish any better. Perfectly crisp batter on a deliciously flaky and tender fillet. No mushiness to either. Fries home cut and crisp as well. Very busy but friendly and fast service. Someone will have to explain to me the utility of HP sauce though - tastes like raisin puree.
