Sullivan's Restaurant

I used to eat here frequently with my grandfather and came in again recently. Place hasn't changed a bit! Good food at a good price. Traditional local Lowcountry seafood cooked the way its supposed to be done. Girlfriend and I can't wait to come back!

Dining experience was not great. We were here in early May and did not get a chance to post review that evening. We were there on a Saturday evening with a brief wait. Once seated we were handled by a series of different servers including the hostess. All were trying to cover for our server who was supposed to be on her way to our table. Ordered, served, and ate before she appeared at our table. She walked directly past us multiple times and avoided eye co tact. The only time she came to the table was to bring the check. On my way out I told the hostess I was embarrassed to say I didn't leave a tip because I was not sure who would get it. All I got in response was I'm sorry. Hopefully the young lady has improved in her service.

It's small! Call for reservations! Which my cousin did for us and these guys really put on a spread! I had the whole-fried flounder,and it was cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasoning. My nephew's steaks looked great and they wasted no time devouring them. The server (owner maybe?) Is very proud of her place and her food. Not five stars because my wife's scallops were WAY overcooked, but that might have been a mistake or a new guy on the grill. Either way, good beer, good food and good people. Call for reservations! We tripped across this restaurant on an outing. What a great find!! Delicious well seasoned food. We both had combos with fried oysters, broiled flounder, french fries, and creamy grits. The collard greens were the best I've had at a restaurant. Chelsi was a very good waitress. She was patient with my questions and made wonderful suggestions. The key lime pie was a tasty end to a good meal. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

I love this place! It's definitely my hidden gem since you drive past a few other popular places to get to it. The food is always amazing! I always hope to see the seared tuna on the "today's special" menu but even if its not... you cant go wrong with almost anything else. The fried shrimp is awesome! The pasta is fantastic! My only reason for not a 5 star is we ordered the crab dip (served warm which is a little odd to me) and I am allergic to horseradish and when we asked if it was in it no one knew. It's a little concern to not be able to find out what's in something. Aside from that we always have good service, good food and leave full!
