“This location is a large, stand alone KFC. They offer a full menu and even an AYCE buffet. Large dining room, too. It's been years since I've tried KFC. I had the classic bowl with a side of green beans and it was a good mix. The combo came with a drink and a cookie. The sweet tea was overly sweet, even for this southern belle, but the unsweetened was respectable. Overall, clean place and friendly staff.”

“Server was very nice and "home town" courteous. Pork was good but not great. Hush puppies were outstanding. Daddy Joe's offers a fairly 'regular' BBQ experience - what you'd expect from a casual place named Daddy Joe's. Only complaint was that it took a VERY long time for our food to be served. One person in our party ordered a salad, so maybe that delayed the main-course ticket. But everything they served us was prepared in advance, not cooked to order (Q, slaw, Hush Puppies, beans, fries, etc). They could have turned us much faster. Having said all of that, I really like a dependable BBQ joint when I'm traveling I-85, so I'll be back; I'll just micro-manage the order submission and food delivery better.”

“It's a toss up to whether or not you'll get a good cooked pizza or not. Sometimes the pizza is great, the crust is perfect and it's even better the next day. Then there are those times when the pizza burnt or missing cheese on part of it. The line used to go out the door sometimes, but I think it's better since they added the Pizza Portal. I give it 4 stars because I do still go there on a regular and I understand sometimes stuff happens.”

“Wonderful Donuts! The story has it, that "Sonny" makes all the donuts fresh each day. I can believe it, because they sure are delicious. The filled items are F-I-L-L-E-D! Not like these franchise places where you'd think it'd kill their mother if they added a decent amount of filling. In fact, with some items, the customer has a choice of fillings, and they fill it right there while you wait (like the chocolate chip log on the left if the picture). If you need any more convincing, I made a two hour round trip for the SOLE PURPOSE of getting some if these donuts! The donuts at the top of the picture didn't travel so well on my motorcycle, but they were still yum yummy. For reference, the box is about 15" wide. When you get there, yes, it's at/in a gas station convenience store.”

“A taste of the past. This is a long standing, family owned establishment, which is frequented by many local clientele. A well rounded menu, offering everything from breakfast to lunch and dinner. The food is aligned more to mid-income style of dining. Grits and eggs, burgers and fries, potatoes and green beans. No wine or lobster here. The food is very good, freshly prepared, and affordable. This is not a large screen TV or upscale restaurant. This is a place where you can eat a good meal, talk with some old friends, and still afford to return again tomorrow.”
