The table bread is a must have. Our 2 young kids split the kids cheese pizza and had a couple slices leftover—it was delicious! The NY strip was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The smashed crispy potatoes were so good and flavorful. Every single item we ordered was so flavorful. My husband ordered the veal parm—it was good but he said next time he would request it be on top of the pasta. We are looking forward to our meal here! Our server was very sweet and thorough.

Great food! Everything we tried was delicious! The NY Strip, Fried Green Tomatoes, Shrimp Cocktail, everything! I'm not really a cobbler person but the peach cobbler was definitely a surprise favorite!

If you would love a date night, and to put on something other than shorts and a bathing suit, also a place more upscale, than this is the place to go. It is pretty pricey and the portions are small compared to other restaurants on Edisto but the food is good, not excellent. The service was very good. This was our last dinner stop during our vacation week on Edisto. We may try it again when returning for vacation just for the ambiance of the place and a date night. I ordered their special which was quail. It came deep fried which I hadn't realized. I wouldn't get it again. My husband ordered the shrimp cocktail, very good and the scallops of which there was a small amount compared to The Waterfront Restaurant also $10 more than them. My husband said they were good but not as good as he had "other places".

Exceptional experience during a holiday weekend no less! My party of 37 were cordially greeted by the restaurant staff and shown to our private dining room where tables were beautifully prepared and a bar area had been established. Servers mingled to take our orders during the cocktail period. At the appointed time we were encouraged to be seated and enjoy the variety of appetizers that had been placed on our tables. Crisp, fresh salads were followed by entrees. I highly recommend the scallops; these highly flavorful morsels melted in my mouth! The key lime pie dessert was a close second to the scallops in the overall dining experience. During dinner the wait staff was ever present to provide assistance. Our family reunion dinner was hugely successful thanks to the competency of Ella & Ollie’s.

3 stars ONLY because food was fantastic. Manager was absent and seemed high when he arrived. Waitstaff were unsure which tables they were responsible for and our waitresses, so sweet, but obviously no training at all. All I can say is have patience and try the shrimp scampi pizza.
