Fresh local delicious seafood. Place was super busy but it's easy to see why. The food was yummy and the place had a great casual atmosphere about it. We bought the seafood platter for two and it was more than enough food for the two of us. Everything was fresh and hot. May seem pricey to some but when it's this good its worth it. Will definitely come back.

Not many options on Edisto Island so this may be somewhat of a winner by default. Cool atmosphere. Very "bar-like" throughout but original Island feel. Food is hit-or-miss but never terrible. Sometimes just better than others. The wait can be long at times. Worth a visit if the wait is short.

Cozy diner with Karaoke nights and friendly staff. Beware no tap water. after some decent soups, two of us shared the Round man platter which had everything in it and was delicious and reasonably priced. Shrimp and grits were also very good and the flounder excellent. tactically located not a 5 minute drive from the beach. cannot recommend the round man platter enough (if you've got someone to share it with).

I know Whaley's is a local landmark, but my experience leads me to believe that they are counting on past reputation to carry them forward.

I went with my husband and son and we all ordered flounder sandwiches with fries, and iced tea for a late lunch.

The flounder tasted fresh and the fries were...fries. The flounder was served on an ordinary hamburger bun and garnished with tomato and lettuce. There was nothing extraordinary about our meals except the price. $50.00 plus tip for the three of us to eat. Service was friendly but sparse (we had to ask for refills and our check).

The atmosphere was comfortable and casual. I doubt I'll go back. Three stars with five star prices.

It was alright. The food was average and expensive. The servers are nice and friendly but can't handle large groups and normal business at the same time. I want to comment on the friendliness of the staff. The staff is one of the only reasons that this restaurant remains busy. If you want a smiling face, $90 lunch ticket for 3, and borderline passable food then this place is for you.
