Perry’s Flaming Grilled Chicken

Quick Lunch Date: 2 pc. Fried Chicken Dinner came with cole slaw and 1 side. The mac n’ cheese was seasoned to perfection, as well as the chicken. Flaming rice and green beans were good. The food was so delicious that I had to spread the word in the office. No long wait for food, friendly staff and short driving distance. They also have a drive thru. Don’t shy away from stopping if you don’t see any cars…new spot and people just haven’t heard about it or tried all the good selections available yet. Lastly, Perry’s offers homemade cake and pie slices. 💚 Best soul food in West Columbia/Cayce Area.

Tried perrys out for lunch today and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend the grilled chicken. The garlic medium sauce had the perfect amount of heat! Sides were all very good as well. Staff was also very kind and food came out quick, great spot for lunch will be returning!

Perry’s is located on Charleston Highway and is right beside a church. This is a family run business. As I walked into the place, the very first thing I noticed is how clean and well kept the restaurant was. The floor was spotless and I didn’t see a crumb anywhere. The dining room is nice, cozy and quiet. The kitchen is wide open so you can see as your food is prepared. In my short time there I noticed how the employees washed their hands multiple times and I was rather impressed by the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the place. I ordered a three piece dark dinner. There was a short wait because the chicken was dropped to order but it well worth the wait. The chicken was crispy, fresh and well seasoned, the macaroni and cheese is so good and I swear it taste like what your grandma makes when she puts her love in it. It was so good. They also have something called “Flaming rice”. It’s sort of like a rice pilaf but it is more on the spicy side. The desserts are homemade. They had sweet potato pie, red velvet cake and chocolate cake. The sweet potato pie was full of flavor, the crust was nice and buttery and the filling had the perfect ratio of sweetness and cinnamon. If you’re on that side I highly recommend you guys stop in and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
