“As a boricua, you can imagine my surprise when I found out there was a Puerto Rican cafe right in my backyard. How did I miss this? I thought I was the only Rican here! With imported coffee coming from the homeland and coquí frogs decorated around their menu, I felt right at home. I can’t wait to show my other family members this spot when they come to visit. Not only that, but their coffee and baked goods are delicious. The coffee beats any other shops around, there is no bitter aftertaste. The pastelillos are flaky with the perfect amount of guava. My husband loves their quesitos as well. If you are an iced coffee lover like I am, the Stumphouse Tunnel or S’more, are an absolute must!”

“Pretty great atmosphere in terms of the look and feel. It's very new and clean so 5 stars on that! The food is very unique and good! However, the options are slightly little limited, and the staff are sometimes friendly and sometimes not. Regardless of how busy they are, the waiter seems to rarily come around, and I have ever only had one "nice" waiter in my 5 times here. It's totally worth it to go, but it needs a little work to be a 5 star! The patio outback is very nice as well! There are not many kids' choices, but nothing is super inviting for kids either. A location in a city would do well! Here in the mountains, there are more families, so more options might help.”

Just be mindful of how busy they are vs. the number of their staff. Their staff was very nice but obviously outnumbered so it took an hour to get the food. “Overall here our experience was pleasant. We went on a week night to avoid a crowd. The salad bar was good. We ordered the crab cakes and while they were served nice and hot, they were pretty bland. My husband and I both ordered the steak. The portion was generous, but again all of the food was pretty bland. Everything lacked flavor. I just doused it in steak sauce to give it flavor. The coleslaw and corn relish on the side both offered little flavor. I ate my steak because for the price, I certainly wasnt going to not eat it. But it was probably one of the blandest meals I've had.”

“Very clean building and simple yet well executed menu. They do an excellent job on the poke bowls. This is a welcome bright spot in an area that is primarily fast food and chicken fingers. The staff was friendly and helpful and the prices were extremely affordable. My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (not sure why one review said they are closed on Saturday?). Both of us really enjoy our food. The fish was fresh and tasty and the presentation was very nice. I would highly recommend it.”
