“The atmosphere was nice. This staff that was there, was polite, and very attentive to my needs. It was nice that they had a place out on the deck for my little puppy (on a leash) to eat with me. They even offered a bowl of cold water for my dog. The food was good and the barbecue sauces were good. The ONLY reason! The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars... is... No hush puppies?!?! that is a staple of a carolina-style barbecue restaurant. I don't care if it's North Carolina or South Carolina. And when I asked the waiter about it, he said they costed extra! What? You always, always offer a never ending bowl of hush puppies at a barbecue restaurant(a reputable one anyway)! It's just like tortilla chips at a Mexican restaurant. you keep bringing them till we say we don't need anymore. Come on people. BBQ 101...”

“The portion sizes on my last two take out orders of the pulled pork have been drastically reduced. I’m “guessing”they’re cutting back on cost by serving less meat. That’s not to say, we don’t love the food. The best bbq I’ve ever had has been served here. ”In response to owner” I was just guessing as to why it was less. I’ve been coming in to buy every weekend since you guys opened, so I’m well aware of the portion sizes. I’d say the last two times our meat was reduced around 40% The meat section of the tray was ALWAYS slap full, except the last two times where it was a neatly placed scoop.. Anyways, if you don’t want to lay claim to it fine. Hopefully you straightened it out, regardless if you listen, but you lost us as customers for the time being. We wish you the best.”
