“I've been coming to this place since...two restaurants ago. I'm so thrilled to see that the restaurant has lasted, because the ambience is fantastic and the food is delicious!!! What's even better is when your dog loses a fight with a stool outside, the staff all rushes to check on him and bring him water. The outdoor patio and stage area is nothing short of perfection. It's the coziest, chilliest place to hang out for dinner...and I'm not sure, but I *think* live music may start next door in the evenings. Great place, super fun times!!”

“If you want some decent pizza it's not a bad place. You can get better pizza at other places for the price. My girlfriend found plastic in her spinach ravioli and they did try to give us a dessert to make up for it but we were already full. So we still ended up paying full price since we turned down the dessert. So by finding plastic in the food I feel it's safe to assume it's not fresh which makes me question that $15.99 price point. All in all I feel it's high prices for average food.”

“We can’t say enough good things about our evening at Rick Erwins. It was an A+ experience from start to finish. My husband and I were traveling from Tybee Island to Clemson to pick up a puppy from a local breeder. I researched where to eat and chose Rick Erwins. I absolutely made the right choice! I have always believed that an evening out starts with making the reservation and that was the case with Rick Erwins. I requested a quiet table since I have some hearing issues and the delightful young woman who made the reservation assured me that she could accommodate the request. We were seated at an end table and, while the restaurant was jam-packed at 7:15 on a Saturday night, we could easily carry on a conversation while enjoying our drinks and dinner. The service was outstanding, the restaurant’s atmosphere and interiors are lovely, the food was delicious and the craft drinks, suggested by our knowledgeable server, were on the mark. It is obvious that the staff are all well trained and that they enjoy their jobs. Having worked 35 years in the hospitality industry, I appreciate and acknowledge top notch service and that is what we received at Rick Erwins. If and when we return to the Clemson area, we will definitely eat at Rick Erwins again.”

“Had another excellent meal here. They serve a mild and spicy salsa as well as a bean dipping sauce for the chips. However, I asked for something spicier. The server offered to get something special from the back. On initial tasting, the spice level wasn't much higher than what they had already served, but this one had a slightly different flavor and a heat that intensified over time. It went very well poured over my burrito and enchelada. I used the chips and bean sauce at the end to help put out the fire on my tongue.”
