“I have one rule when I travel, whether on business or for pleasure: I don't eat at any restaurant that I can't eat at back at home. Mr. Friendly's fit the bill, because there isn't one back at home in Ohio, as it is truly a one of a kind place. I went there with two business associates while in Columbia on business. We ordered the salmon croquets as an appetizer, and I ordered the Carolina catfish with fried green tomatoes as my entry. Both were very delicious. I have never liked fried green tomatoes before going to Mr. Friendly's, but theirs was unforgettable. The salmon and the catfish were cooked to perfection, and very tasty. Obviously, Mr. Friendly's has a very artistic and skillful chef working in the kitchen. In a word, this place is awesome! A nice touch is the art hanging on the walls, all of which is for sale.”

“Some fantastic drinks! Justin at the bar is amazing and a great Bartender. First is called "To grandmother's house we go", the second is a play on the deadmans party and a greyhound, the third is a version of a green goddess that we (Justin and I) are gonna call "Not your Granny Smith". Great vibes and fun atmosphere. Ask him about trivia about the Graduate hotel. :-)”

“Only opened Friday thru Sunday this is on the National Historic Registry from the World's Fair. Located at the top of the USC Capstone Building this is a great experience when visiting USC or Columbia. Fair warning- it's pricey however the view, food, service and experience is one that every visitor should try. Go Gamecocks!!!”

“When I was visiting from out of state, my cousin introduced me to Miyo's. I love tempura, so this was a sensational treat. The food was excellent, the kind of dinner you dream about having again. Tonight I asked the owner for a special favor; Michelle was so graciously accommodating, so I could preform a "VIRTUAL out-to-dinner" for a special event taking place for my well deserved relative. Thank you, Michelle!”

“They have a decent selection of nice beers, and a few ciders! As far as the pizza, my party had some calzones, and a couple of pizzas. ALL of it was excellent. Perfect amount of cheese/sauce ratios, with the right kind of dough. I would 100% bring close friends here for a good meal whenever it's an option.”

“I have ordered many times from this location. Please know I have never been disappointed. Every thing is fresh. The bread itself is amazing. They never scimp on anything and the prices are a good value. Please give them a try. This location is Forest Drive”

“Very good, loved the chicken and fries. Very good pricing especially on the tub dinners. Staff was very friendly and service was fast. Unfortunately the cole slaw was super, super salty, we couldn't eat it.”

“Great atmosphere. Food presentation was exceptional but the taste was just okay. They have some amazing menu options. I tried the Shrimp BLT with waffle fries and iced tea. The bacon on the BLT was rock hard, so it was difficult to eat and I ended up picking it apart. However the shrimp was great. The waffle fries needed to be cooked just a bit more. The staff was friendly and efficient. The overall experience was still up there in the 3.5-4 star rating.”

“It was as good as it could be. Fresh, hot and generous portions. Tray helped us along with another lady who took our order. They actually opened a few minutes early as they saw us in parking lot. We found this pig heaven a year ago while lost. Now it's part of our vacation plan when going to Charleston. Thanks again ladies, see you next year!”

“I eat at Lizard' Thicket on Sunset Blvd. every week. Service is always good and the food is dependable. True home cooked delicious food. Lots of options. I went here with my dad when he came to visit me and we had a great time. The staff are all very nice and you can tell they all work hard. The beef stew is my favorite and the corn bread is very good!”

“Pretty decent food all around. Got the General Tso combo with white rice and a pork egg roll. Egg roll is very good, nice flavor and not too much filler. Chicken is good, pieces on the small side, sauce is a little spicy. Rice was a touch dry. I'll be back.”

“I would like to try this restaurant but I hesitate because of safety concerns. I wish that the owner would respond to the following post from 2 weeks ago. It deserves a response. ----------- Whitney MWhitney M Local Guide · 93 reviews · 10 photos 2 weeks ago Lack of masks, social distancing, and lack of gloves by people preparing food are ridiculously concerning. Today’s the first day of school and I’m concerned for the students and the staff if this is how they will conduct business.”

“I had read a couple of reviews on a "foodie" site that were praising this place as the next best thing to sliced bread... Myself as well as the out of town guests found it to be just ok. If you like a complete bbq meal with good meat choices as well as homemade sides this is not the place for you. I f your going to the football and half drunk just wanting something to fill your stomach the cock pit will do. The ribs were ok although I will state everything meat wise was leftovers as they only smoke/grill on certain days!!!! The lack of sides were the deal breaker on rating the cock pit any higher, limp fries and fried pickle slices from a freezer bag just dont do it for me. The baked beans were pretty good I will add.... ”

“I love Starbucks to the fullest. BUT THEY NEED TO PICK UP THE PACE ON THE DRIVE THROUGH. They’re slacking so much Starbucks use to be so fast and have good customer services and it has just gone downhill but I still love it.”

“Delicious Greek food, you will be hooked! The street pita has already become my favorite. The spreads are so good, the fries are thin and perfectly cooked, and the fresh juices are yummy. You can expect quick service from the assembly line, very family friendly atmosphere.”
