“The salad was amazing!!! I was so pleased. It was fresh, friendly priced, and most of all delivered. I give the salad a FIVE of five stars. I took one star because I ordered a cookie to go with it...cookie, not so good. It looked like it was going to be moist and soft, instead it was crumbly and probably baked day before yesterday. That is my only complaint, however I told myself NOT to order the cookie anyway. That's what I get for going against my gut. The salad won't disappoint!”

“I had heard about the restaurant, and I was not disappointed. We were treated to soup and salad and a plentiful, delicious buffet. The meal ended with a huge selection of desserts. The McCutchen House serves the buffet lunch during the week ($10 including tax) and a sit-down dinner on Thursday evening, I believe. The meals and service are prepared and presented by students in classes of the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. They do a great job!”

“I went after the Columbia Fireflies game. I hadn't been here in a while. Five Points now, for me, will never compare to it's heyday. Anyways. Apparently it's karaoke on Wednesdays with a $2 vodka special. The crowd, once they came in, was very interactive. Tons of energy and they weren't afraid to sing!”

“They make fried pork skins that are awesome comes with a dry rub and pimento cheese. The skins are perfect light and crunchy but not break your teeth crunchy. They also have "Death sauce" which is both hot and sweet which really sets them off. The ribs are very tender though I prefer to have the membrane removed it is easy to pull off. The mac n cheese is top notch, on the hash and rice I didn't care for it but my wife loved it and hash is very much a personal preference type of thing.”

“Very quaint little place. Went for lunch and was very happy. I would have liked to see the sushi chef have on gloves while making the rolls. Only real complaint was that some of the rice was still warm and i think that the avocado could have been a little firmer. Good amount of raw fish in the rolls. We will be back as this is the best we have found so far.”

“This is my favorite place in Columbia! The vibe is PERFECT... The bartenders are GREAT... Most definitely a hidden gem in Columbia and it attracts the crowd that it wants. (Not the normal five points crowd) This bar reminds me of something you’d find in New York. The art work, lighting, and atmosphere is the best set up for a romantic date night. I don’t think there’s any other place in Columbia that you could compare to this one!”

“I'm a recent transplant to the South and sampled half dozen pizza joints in Columbia. Nicky's in the best NYC style by far. Slices are huge, pepperoni has a nice spicy kick and the sauce complements the pie instead of overwhelming it or getting lost. I wish they carried wings. This will be my go-to pizza place.”

“Not exactly easy to find, I didn't know where it was located and it didn't stand out while trying to follow GPS. I had to park around the corner and behind the building, walk through an alley, which for a woman was not the most safe feeling option. The bar had a lot of sit down space, several pool tables, bathrooms were clean enough. They had a $1 drink special going on which was cool. Like maybe 6 ounce drinks. So decent enough.”

“Booked a table for busy parents weekend far in advance and then needed to change the time AND number of guests. They were great! Let me add 3 people and change our time. Food was excellent. Everyone ordered something different and everyone raved about their dinner. Husband’s shrimp and grits were the best he’s ever had (sorry, Bobby Flay) and daughter’s steak was perfectly cooked. Waitress recommended the steak special (can’t remember the exact name) and everyone who ordered it loved the choice. I would definitely go back on next visit to Columbia.”

“Recommended by my dear daughter while in town. In the heart of 5 Points, this cool Mexican dive is pretty good. Our server was on her first day waiting tables and she did a very good job. Started with the Nacho plate and a malt-forward IPA. Beer was good, not great but nachos were fantastic. We then dined on quesadillas and tuna poke bowl. Both very good. I then finished with a hop-forward IPA and that was even better. Prices were reasonable - it was $2 taco night too so lots of students in for the quick treats. I was definitely the oldest in the restaurant but would return as the food was pretty good.”

Delivery in one order was supposed to be 30 minutes and it turned into much longer (over an hour). The driver let an unauthorized coworker sign my credit card receipt.
