“Host wasn't friendly or inviting, but the rest of the evening made up for the brief encounter. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the food and beverages. Our food came out in a timely manner and was great! Everything tasted fresh and was hot. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich and Jam smash burger definitely didn't disappoint and the blueberry flashback was a delicious surprise. We'll definitely be back.”

“I wanted to go somewhere for a steak with my brother and his girlfriend and didn't want to go to a chain restaurant. I looked up steak houses near our hotel and found the Monarch. We had supper there . Tom and Kent took care of us and we had a great meal. It is in a small town of 200 and we were so glad we came here to eat.... Thanks for a great experience...”

“Great service, great food and great atmosphere. We also enjoyed the fireplace and the taxidermy decor. I loved the carrot cake! I love the location, too. Not too far from Sioux Falls but still nestled nicely on the outskirts of the city. Makes for a nice family drive.”
