Onion rings good but didn't get a lot for $4. The loaded pork missile fries were a flavor bomb and would definitely get again! Thank You!!!”

“Every time we hit the Hillbilly Junction and Cafe, we leave fully satisfied. The house specials, chicken salad, the french dip, the jalapeno potato salad and the daily specials are always excellent. The wild game selection (like elk and wild boar) are excellent. When the owner gets unique ingredients, the daily specials are genius. And don't forget the hand cut fries. The owner and the staff always make you feel at home and aim to please. If you ask nicely, they might even make you something "custom." :-)”

“Neat little spot we spotted right off the side of the road, so decided to give it a go...Let me just say this, I’ve had the opportunity to eat at BBQ joints, shacks & restaurants all over the Southeast. DOCS is right up there with the best of em’!!! If you see it, stop. You won’t regret it...Also, super cool (nice) people running the show...”

“My review is based on the food alone but my review will echo many of the others regarding the owner. We ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was pretty good. Not a lot of toppings but the toppings that were on the pizza were good. However, after 3 days of eating dehydrated food while hiking through The Smokeys maybe anything would have tasted good. I would definately get food here again if in the Cosby area. Now, the owner...this guy was about as unfriendly and unprofessional as can be. When we got there he seemed like he was irritated that he had to wait on us. When the order was done he simply yelled out "31" we didn't know if that was an order number he had assigned us without letting us know. He yelled out "31" again. We looked at him and said "is that us" to which he replied "yeah, $31". We paid, left and went back to the campground to enjoy our pizza.”

“What a nice homely place. Food was good, severed as ordered and cooked well. Cheesesteak was a real hit with a few members of our party! Chicken tenders were also awesome! I’d recommend both of those. Ice cream shop for dessert here too! I had the sweet water IPA and it was to my liking. Quaint, somewhat authentic, good service , friendly family owned business. Absolutely love to support these types of places. Super clean restroom, single person .”

“Love, love, love this place!! My family is from Florida and we love to visit North Carolina. A few years back, when on vacation, we were headed back to North Carolina from a hiking outing in Tennessee when we came across Carver’s. We loved the apple fritters, apple butter, apple cider, honey mustard, the yummy southern comfort food, the beautiful apple orchard view, and the farm store. We make it a part of our trips now to come specifically to Carver’s when we go to North Carolina on vacation...it is worth the drive. We told some of our family about Carver’s and they tried it when they were vacationing in the area...they also fell in love with the food and atmosphere. They too now make it a priority to stop at Carver’s as part of their trips. We do now know to call and make sure they are open, as sometimes the days open/closed have been incorrect online. Carver’s has wonderful food and my kids look forward to buying homemade apple butter and honey mustard every time we visit!! ???? ????❤️”

“We went rafting and the guide recommended this place. So easy to drive but and miss it but it's worth the stop. Just 1 man in this little unassuming roadside joint...... but he knocked out some amazing food. Meatball sub was delicious, kids had handmade pizza and wife had ravioli. The marinara sauce was so good. So friendly and accommodating, give this little slice of small town America a visit and you wont be disappointed.”

“We came here to grab breakfast. 5 stars for what it is, an inexpensive dinner with all the usual options. I had the eggs with "City ham" plate and it came with a lot of food! None of it was spectacular, but it was definitely a great value. The service was very friendly and the coffee was fresh. No complaints from me! It's cash only but there's an ATM inside.”
