“Very fresh Quarter #with cheese. Fast efficient service. Traveling to get away from Dorian. From Florida to No.Carolina now on the way to visit family in Nashville. Don't usually eat much fast food. Ice water for our dog was a nice treat.”

“For being empty with no customers they should of been out cleaning the tables off, all the tables were dirty, needed washed. The bathroom also needed cleaning. The kid brought us our food without a tray, should of used a tray, I do understand it might of been easier. Employees need to act more like they like their work and customers weren't a nuisance to them and they welcomed your service. I don't post reviews like this usually, but I'm starting to. Hope rest of their day turned out good. We got double cheese slider, mushroom swiss (my husband didn't really care for that) and french fries.”

“Now THIS little place is NOT to be missed if you are in the area! They are open for breakfast and lunch, and have a wonderfully varied menu with reasonable prices, great music (classical) and friendly service. Best grilled cheese sandwich I have had in literally decades!”

“So after seeing all the glowing reviews posted for this place, we decided to try it out. I wish we hadn't. The shop is small and the decorations are sort of different- mostly Christmas based. The menu is limited but has a variety considering it only has about 2dozen items. They do have real cloth tablecloths and napkins, if that sort of thing impresses you. I had the chicken Alfredo and my wife had a cheeseburger. The Alfredo was homemade and had lots of things in it, but I really didn't care for it much. The burger was ok, but the potato wedges were pretty anemic, small and few. The side salad was pretty small but the blue cheese dressing was excellent. I wanted my wife to order a side salad, but I'm glad she didn't since the menu price for a side salad was 5 bucks! All in all, it's not a bad place, just wasn't all I had expected it to be.”

“This place was awesome! The food was so good. Everything was freshly made and the portions were large. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the food is a little pricey. Aside from that, wonderful food and service. 10/10 will be going back.”

“Food was not fancy, but good. Their sour mash whiskey pork chop was done well, served with veggie of the day, dinner salad, and choice of potato or rice pilaf. Entree prices were reasonable. Service was very good. Definitely worth checking out and probably worth a return visit.”

“Cozy rambling home converted into a restaurant. Lots of wood and rooms off of rooms. We did not have a reservation but were seated immediately. Food portions were not large enough for leftovers but plenty to fill you up. Everything, from the salad, to the appetizers, the pasta, and the desserts, was amazing. Coffee at the end was great. Very nice waitress. Be prepared to have a long leisurely meal, chatting with your guests. Not a place to go if you are in a hurry or expect to grab and go. Maybe the best restaurant in the county.”

“Excellent, meaty, moist , flavorful Ribs- Best ribs we have ever had! BBQ also very tasty. Big John provides an excellent BBQ sauce- but little is needed since all the meat has such a great flavor- you don't need to mask it with a sauce. Visiting from Virginia and will make sure we come back for take out in the future. Can't wait to come back to the Glade and try other items on the menu. Be sure you check his hours- he comes in early and closes at 5- almost missed this hidden jewel in Crossville.”

“Absolutely incredible. If you want to hear it, the DJ has is 1000000% Service is decent and friendly and the don't take advantage of your tab like some other establishments in the area. The DD system they have in place is a blessing. You have to go to see for yourself”

“The wings were great, after I took them home and put them in my air fryer. They were soggy and not crispy before that but had awesome taste. The pizza was comparable to NY pizza... some of the best I've found here”

“Really nice folks run this place. Good sandwiches made daily, placed in cold case. I would say it's geared toward the crowd of "get in and get out" and their short lunches. That being said it was really good. Lots of great baseball conversations as well.”

“We Came through Crossville on this giant yard sale. We stopped to eat at Christie’s and I had such a wonderful time. The people that work there so accommodating and the atmosphere is so homey we felt like family. We were completely amazed at how wonderful the food was. Everything we ordered was great. I would highly recommend this place.”

“Authentic Cuban dishes cooked to perfection. Owner is Florida native who knows about authentic dishes and delivers Cuban cuisine with specialty ingredients shipped in from Florida and Cuba. Even my picky Southern Mother in law ordered seconds of the Yucca fries and hubby and I enjoyed the tasty rum cake with raspberries. Thank you so much for the awesome lunch.”

“Absolutely the best meal I have had this year! The outside of the restaurant looks warm and inviting. Inside was decorated very nicely, tables had plenty of room between them. The original crown molding was so beautiful and gave the restaurant a very upscale feel. Our server was Mary and she was wonderful. She made great suggestions when we couldn't decide what to order. The confusion shrimp was amazing! The pumpernickel bread was so fresh and tasted great. We both ordered the prime rib and garlic butter shrimp. It was to die for! Prime rib was cooked to perfection. The garlic butter shrimp had the perfect combination of butter and garlic. Mary was very attentive and made sure we were enjoying our meal. The dessert tray had the most delicious looking options but I was too full from my great dinner. Thank you Forte for making our weekend away from the kids and work extra special! I will definitely be eating here again”

“I tried the Grinder House for the first time after plenty of word of mouth suggestions. I found it a very quiet (@11am) and clean environment when I entered. Being used to being waited on...I stood awkwardly at the entrance and was quickly greeted with a "good morning." I ordered a stuffed french toast with bacon and an apple juice (found my item online). There didn't appear to be many places for 1 except by the front window... so I borrowed a table for five. The food didn't take long to be served (about five minutes). The french toast was excellent, a great selection of ingredients to host an ideal blend of texture and taste. However, the bacon was walking the tight rope of cooked and burnt, probably wobbling over on the side of burnt. I also had an out of the blue surprise of a mango juice instead of an apple. I give the Grinder House a 3.5 out of 5 from my in building experience. I am also impressed with their online presence and their responses to their customers both the positive and negative... An extra half star. 4 of 5. Thanks for the experience.”
