The good was good and the prices were good. We had great service. The only problem was that the food was a little more done (like asked for medium rare and got well done). I would go back and I would recommend The Diner.

Very enjoyable. Our server, Will, was quite friendly and very efficient. The food is very good for what it is. This is diner style food and it does not pretend to be more. As such it is outstanding. The view of downtown from the higher floors is an extra bonus.

Upscale diner food at very decent and reasonable prices. Lovely dining rooms with great views. Attentive staff that kept the drink refills coming.
I felt intimidated by the building itself, not knowing what to expect, glad I gave it a chance.

I walked in on a Saturday morning and it wasn't what I expected to be.
But, where I'm from in Chicago the diner food pretty good, so I was optimistic. The the hostess showed me to my seat. The busboy, very nice guy brought the water and sent out my waiter Max. I looked over the menu, and I just couldn't figure out what I wanted. So finally when Max came to check on me and I asked him what he liked. Max recommended a few things, and I decided to go with the hot chicken wrap. Unfortunately they have to dull down the spicy hot chicken wrap for tourist. I had to add Tabasco sauce, and it was still really good. I also ordered the mac and cheese which can easily be turned into a lobster mac and cheese. it was awesome the sauce reminded me of a lobster bisque I had once. I can see the menu changing to offering a half sandwich and a cup of mac and cheese it would still be a full meal. I had enough to eat. I was full when I left. Max gave good service he didn't hover over my table. I will be going back for chicken and waffles. I'd like to try the lemon bar.

Delicious!! Ashley or server was great! The chicken and waffles were amazing. We got the mild. And that's the only reason I gave them one less star. Is because that chicken was so incredibly hot it was kind of hard to eat it with the waffle. And I love spice. So I can't even imagine how hot the hot really is.
