“My boyfriend and I went here for the first time tonight. The service was AMAZING!!! We were so impressed and appreciative of how great the workers were. While we were finishing up, the owner stopped by and talked to us. After we finished talking, he left and then proceeded to come back with a bag to put our to-go boxes in (which he did himself). We were telling him that we had a great experience and that it was our first time. Next thing we know, he comes back with a whole bag of fortune cookies as a gift to us! It’s small acts of kindness like this that give me hope in our society! We will definitely be returning soon :) Thank you so much for GREAT food and even better customer service!!”

“For such a small establishment, there sure is a long wait for food/service. The coffee was good, nice and hot, and the food wasn't bad at all for the price. The atmosphere was very strange, kind of like an antique store where all of the decor was for sale, which I dug. Our waitress could have been a bit more attentive, but she kept the coffee coming so no complaints really. It's definitely worth a try.”

“Ankar’s has always been a favorite of ours, but I’ve never taken the time for a review. After exceptionally great service today, I had to write one! The food is ALWAYS amazing — even for vegetarians. Some favorites are the steak and provolone, cheeseburger, black bean burger, fries and onion rings! (They also have THE BEST ranch and sweet tea). I usually call ahead if I have a big order because everything is made fresh so it takes a minute, but so worth it. Tonight I called in a large order for our entire family and said I would be there in 15 minutes. I arrived a little earlier than that so I went in and paid as they were finishing my order. While in there, I watched one of the women in the back (who i believe is a manager) triple check my order along with 2 employees. She also helped them stack accordingly, so nothing was squished or spilled. The employee even took the time to go over that with me when handing me the food. Bravo guys!! ????????????????????????”

“What fantastic food! We just moved to the area today and it was recommended to us and I am so glad we went. My son loves Mexican food in general and said this was better than any he had had before, ever! High praise from him. My food was very good and we couldn't find fault in the salsa or cheese dip. “Hands down the best Cajun I have had in town. I normally don't enjoy Cajun food, but the lovely couple who run this establishment have really hit the nail on the head for comfort food with a kick. I love visiting there and seeing the familiar faces of the owner and his lovely wife, and there has never been a time I have entered and left dissatisfied. They offer samples of just about everything on the menu so you have a chance to try before you decide what you'd like for your meal. All of the selections are expertly stewed and the seafood selections taste fresh and well-seasoned. It IS a bit more expensive than most other establishments in that area, but for the quality and portion size I would say the price is just right! 10/10 would recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys Cajun food!!”

“I used to come here all the time. I fell out of the habit. I placed a call today for a pickup order. The woman on the phone was great. She told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later, and it took only a minute or two before I received my food. During that time I was able to ask about their Soul Food Wednesday. Looked amazing. The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I picked up my food, and I’ve got to tell you, the food is exactly how I remembered, if not better than before. I come in town about three times a year..I always stop to get something to eat the breakfast.. original bowl I love it.. but they ((always)) forget to put something I order in my bag... so today I order the original bowl with (extra) sausage in it.. get home one piece of sausage in the bowl ????and for my drink I asked you a Coca-Cola they didn't have Coke so I ask for Strawberry Fanta they didn't have that.. well outside of those few things they always forget to put something in my bag...
