My first time. It was great. The flavor was excellent and I was full. The waitress super nice and helpful when picking out the dish

I tried the Combination with Lamb. The chicken and onions tasted really good. The lamb and beef were underwhelming. I expected more seasoning and a bit more tenderness to it. I liked the cabbage, didn't care for the rest of the platter. I did feel like I wasted 30 dollars of my money but I'm giving them 4 stars because the lady that serviced me was exceptionally nice and just because it's not my cup of tea, doesn't mean it won't be for someone else.

If I do go back I'll just try something not so expensive and keep it towards the chicken.

We are local and this restaurant is one of our favorites. The service is great and the food even better. I love the Dor Watt and the spicy iced tea. The lentil side dishes are some of the best I've eaten, even including my own cooking. As mentioned before the place is small , simple and clean. It is an unexpected treasure in Knoxville, a must try. Tried the Gosh combination plate since I had never had Ethiopian before. It was all good and the bread you eat with it unique and tasty. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. Great service.

My first visit to an Ethiopian restaurant. My overall impression was positive. The menu is pretty simple and it seems like a lot of the dishes are similar and served in various combinations. We had the Sambbussa as an appetizer. For the main course we ordered the Gosh Combination with Lamb. It was tasty. Various meats, vegetables and lentils. Some were spicy and some not. Two orders was more than enough food for 5. The service is a little slow, but friendly.
