So ridiculously good. Food is UNBELIEVABLE. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life, fried green tomatoes are amazing, every side is amazing as well. Atmosphere is beautiful, we sat in the front booth and loved it. Very clean, amazing service, and food is some of the best I’ve ever had.

This is a very nice location with a helpful staff. I had the hush puppies for starters and the meatloaf for my dinner Thursday evening. It was all very good with generous portions. I would definitely recommend for a great southern meal. I can't wait to go back and save room for the pecan pie .

Southern Grit does country in an open city setting. The enviroment is open and bright with s minimum of decor. Classic Rock plays softly in the background. A huge bar with an enormous collection of spirits feels up a wall. And the biscuits will knock you out. Their thick, textured, and with a modest splash of butter mixed in with the batter. The best I've had in a long time. The chicken I had was Southern flavored but you can try medium or spicy. Either way my chicken was cooked and spiced very well. Batter was good but did not overwhelm the flavor of the bird. Fries were thinly cut and easily snackable. Only minor quibble is that the macaroni and cheese was a little dry for my tastes but I can't complain too much if I finished them.

Great place to take friends as the menu varies between chicken, shrimp, burgers, and even non boring salads. They also have Okra and Collards for the hardcore southern people. So yes go and invite friends and for Heaven's sake get the biscuits.
