Good Golly Tamale

We enjoy a warm, nourishing Tamale at the Farmers market on Saturdays. The thought alone is what gets me out of bed and headed downtown. They have so many options and everyone we have tried has been delicious. You won't get a better meal for $5!

Good Golly Tamale is one of my favorite places in the entire world.

Their tamales are the bomb. My personal favorite is the bean and cheese tamale, but honestly they are all delicious. Tucked into the Old City, their store front is cozy, yet open and invites a sense of community. The people who work there are great, care about the community, and will answer any questions you have.

They also have many of their tamale flavors available in freezer packs so you can enjoy the deliciousness at home if you'd rather.

Good Golly Tamale... Where do I begin?

Is it possible that history's finest romance poets were actually writing prophecies about Knoxville's finest tamales? Quite possibly. I buy it.

Some of the world's worst conflicts probably could have been solved by sharing a Chicken Tinga. Especially since they have options for a plethora of dietary needs, including vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

There's a reason they often run out of tamales when they bring their adorable little food cart to any festivities like the Farmer's Market. BECAUSE EVERYONE IN KNOXVILLE RECOGNIZES WHAT A GEM WE HAVE IN THIS LOCAL EATERY.

It is by far one of my favorite Knoxville spots. Given the option of eating anywhere downtown, I would choose Good Golly Tamale 10/10 times. Thank you for never failing on flavor and good times.

The one thing good golly tamale gets correct is consistency with their food! No matter what time of day I go there, the food is always HOT, FRESH, and taste the same as it did the last 20 times. The Tamales are stuffed full of fresh vegetables and chicken. The cook is amazing! I love knowing what I am going to get each time I visit! Service is 5 stars, always fast and friendly. Thank you for being a great growing business in the community!

The nest tamales I've ever had in my life! These are the gold standard! All the ingredients are excellent quality, fresh, and mostly locally sourced. I know the picture of this pulled pork tamale is messy, but it was so good and full of flavor! They're big tamales too. One is just enough for lunch. Their salsa is also scrumptious. I pour mine all over the top of my tamale. Their store is small and cozy. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable.
