Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

We’re visiting from out of state and heard a lot of good things about this place, we definitely were not let down. The service was great, the vibes were cool and the food was amazing and came out hot and fast. Shout out to our server Ariel (pronounced “R E L”) it was refreshing to experience some southern hospitality. Our drinks never once reached the bottom of the cup and her service was on point. Would definitely recommend this place to ANYONE. Especially out of town visitors. Gus, if you’re reading, please open up a restaurant in San Antonio, Tx.

Ordered the half chicken dinner. Fed 3 people. Good southern style juicy fried chicken with a hint of heat in the spice. Fried okra was good but very small portion for what is listed as a starter item.

Best fried chicken!! Just spicy enough. Service was good and don’t forget the fried pies. We had the pecan fried pie and it took me back to the ones my grandma used to make.

Great food & great service! We just love this place. Gus's period, we love! We could really use one in Oklahoma! Closer to Western Oklahoma, please. We was with my sister & nephew & ate there 2 times in the 4 days we was in Memphis. So worth eating there.

oh man, this chicken was a revelation! the best i've ever had for sure. batter was so crisp, yet not too thick or thin. the meat was very juicy. spicy was actually spicy! also got a deep fried pie, never even heard of that before! so great, cant' wait to go back. like the kid sitting at the table next to mine said "i knew tonight was a great night for fried chicken" . preach.
