“I always thought Dairy Queen had the best hamburgers in Rockport. BUT a few weeks ago l had one and it was terrible. Tonight l thought I'd try again. Really bad. The bun was the same large bun but the thin patty was much smaller and it was like eating dry cardboard. I ordered lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. Didn't get the tomato but doubt that would have helped. What happened to the big juicy burger you use to get? I think the meat has changed. I would be willing to pay more for a real hamburger.”

“Great customer service. Great food. Great place in general. The fact that you can walk in, order your food, purchase a drink and watch a movie on one TV and the have ability to see the status of your order on the other TV is quite great. The workers don't even mind if you stay long after you finish your meal just to finish watching the movie, haha. Workers behind the counter are very helpful and welcoming, and will take note if you are a regular customer and even remember your name and get to know you if you allow them.”

“Great little place in Rockport (faces Wal-Mart). My wife, son, and I had an awesome breakfast from Heaven (that was the waitress' name). Being a server previously and my wife spending her entire career in hospitality, we can be very picky but the only thing was the salsa was too garlicky. Friendly staff. Good prices. Tasty food. Wonderful decor and atmosphere. Definitely going back; lots more menu choices to try!”

“Small store with minimal parking. Only negative was employee smoking @ front door while i walked in. They were talking a quick smoke break in between customers. He just help door open while smoking. Would've been perfectly fine with it if he was smoking not right in front of door where the customers were entering and leaving”

“6 of us went to Aranda’s Mexican Grill (609 Business Hwy 35 N Bypass, Rockport) last evening..first time for me, even though we’ve tried a couple of times but they were always closed! Had a good experience from start to finish! We were greeted promptly and politely as soon as we entered. Jose, the Owner, stopped to talk to one of our friends, which was nice, and Angelica was our Server! She did a great job, personable, knowledgeable and attentive! I had the Spinach Enchiladas (with Monterey Jack cheese sauce, that’s a first), which is one of my favorites but very few restaurants here have that on their menu! They have quite an extensive menu and prices were very competitive! My entrée was only $8.99 and it was quite ample to say the least (1st pic) They adhered to social distancing with chairs placed forward and signs strategically placed on tables noting no seating! We sat at a circular corner table with barrel leather chairs, so comfortable and conversation-friendly!! We got there about 4:20 which was certainly a good time as not that crowded, but when we left, they were at 50% capacity! Everyone was complimentary on their entrée, so a good evening/experience with Service, Food and Price! Looking forward to going back to Aranda’s!”

“An excellent upscale seafood and art experience! If you want fine dining, choose this one. The appetizer crab cakes had a Smokey crust outside and tender spicy me inside. The flounder “catch of the day” came both broiled and Gilroy- we tried both and enjoyed them equally. The tarragon garlic butter compote on the broiled version won’t the vote for me. The only reason to not give 5 stars was the dinner salad with too much vinaigrette (pooled in the plate). Be sure to wander the rooms and admire (or purchase) original art by excellent local artists.”

“This place serves northeastern dishes and is about 35 min away from Corpus Christi. They serve the Maryland Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and wow, they blew me away because I never thought I going to find a near similar favorite crab cake taste here in Texas. I highly recommend the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. Service is friendly and prompt too.”

“A bit of a whole in the wall. Not a deli in my book, rather a restaurant that serves deli style sandwiches. The service was excellent at the seat yourself establishment. Menu primarily sandwiches, which are side free. All sides and beverages are adds. I had a Rubin and it was excellent. The wife's turkey sandwich was heavy with meat. Simply this is a great sandwich store, worth visiting.”

“It is a typical homey Cafe setting. I had the fruit salad which looked like something you would pour out of a can. Hubs had the taco soup, the crackers was stale but was better than my fruit salad. We both had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn. Finished the meal with chocolate pudding. All in all it is a decent meal that will fill the belly. Nice staff. Good atmosphere. p.s. we entertained ourselves with the plate (lid?) that I could spin on the table like a top! See pics.”

“Papas rancheras and nopales a la Mexicana were full of flavor. I'm vegan so this is what I eat. Taqueria El Guero made sure my food wasn't bland but poppin with flavor. Corn tortillas are not homemade but the flavor in the food made me forget. Went 2 days in a row. The next day they messed up my order and gave me flour tortillas instead of corn. Those were great too. I always find the good spots. ????”
