“Update: My wife was informed by a friend that they stopped using the really strong smelling cleaner so we chanced going here again. We really enjoyed it and the food tasted great! Siam Thai is definitely now on our list of good restaurants in the Bastrop area! I'm so happy they listen to their customers. Original review: The food was very good. We were really enjoying it until they started cleaning the table with a VERY strong mix of cleaner. The overpowering scent ruined the taste of the food and I was coughing and clearing my throat for an hour after leaving. My wife is more sensitive than I am and couldn't take the smell. She couldn't finish her food and had to go sit in the car while I packed up our food into to-go containers and paid. It's a shame they use such strongly scented cleaners. We really liked the food but we won't be going back.”

“Was VERY pleasantly surprised by this place. My mom and I were looking for a seafood place that served more than just catfish. We both ended up getting the jumbo fried shrimp, fries, and the veggie of the day. I got corn and she got black eyed peas. Everything was wonderful, including the chicken tender, fries, and green beans kids meal I got for my son. Service was GREAT, but they went above and beyond when my 21 month old son tripped in the parking lot and got a boo boo. Love this place, will recommend, and definitely will be back.”

“The 602 on main never fails to disappoint with the quality of their food and service even at two pm on a Wednesday. It is a rustic and welcoming atmosphere, the kind of place you would expect to serve chicken fried steak with mashed taters and gravy. Instead they cater to both sides of the coin with atmosphere and food. It is down home and refined and sophisticated at the same time. You can enjoy crab and lobster macaroni cooked to perfection while you listen to a local country band out back. I stop by everytime I am in town.”

We tried to talk to the manager but we were informed they were in a meeting. And that was after walking to the front to pay our bill trying to find someone to help us.
