Rio Salado Cocina y Cantina

We have been to Rio Salado twice. Cute decor and very clean. Both times we had very friendly service all around. The chips, salsa, and queso are wonderful!! We also got a very generous portion of guacamole. The tacos were a bit bland and rice needs some flavor. I’d prefer chicken breast for the fajitas but loved the veggies. Overall we had positive experiences each time and know they’ll improve in those areas over time. Happy to have them in Salado!

House Margaritas are delish . Queso Blanco and guacamole was really good too. I had the chicken quesadilla ,black beans and rice .Large portion very good .Fair pricing. Chef is friendly and came around to ask tables for feedback

Finally good Mexican food in Salado!
The Good: plenty of staff, chips, salsa, the Rio queso, the flour tortillas, black beans, and the fajitas.
Room for improvement: the frozen margaritas are very sweet and did not have much tequila in them (they need to fix this first, good strong margaritas keep people coming!), fans or misters on the patio, expanded menu options.

Excited to see how this place grows and changes, happy they are here!

I eat Mexican food about as often as I wear women's clothing... never. But, if I were to ever decide to try eating Mexican food while wearing women's clothing, I would only do it at Rio Salado. Great addition, and a menu we needed in Salado.
