“I thought the place was pretty good. Authentic place, food, and experience. All the way up to the smell and environment of the place reminded me of being in Mexico. Chips were excellent texture & quality, salsa was a little more spicy than I like but that's how most like it! We ordered ground beef enchilada plate and ground beef taco salad. Both were excellent!”

“You can't ever go wrong with Jack in the Box! I usually prefer the ultimate cheeseburger, but got the spicy chicken today and it was great. I asked for no lettuce and tomato.. Of course they added lettuce and tomato!”

“I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s excellent. I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food and this is hands down the best I’ve ever had. If you ask for extra spicy, they deliver! Apparently, the Thai peppers are home grown and I must say of superior quality based on the flavor they added to my meal. I’m very impressed and will be back for more! If you’ve never had Thai and want to try something new, try the green curry and you’ll be hooked!”

“Great meal and service! The meatloaf is outstanding and the brisket is delicious. It's tasted like a real home-cooked meal. This restaurant is well worth the visit.”

“Bobby's Pit BBQ is a good place for barbeque. The prices are about what you would expect around here (about $11 for a brisket plate, $6 for a brisket sandwich, $13 for a two-meat plate, $1.50 for a small soda with free refills) For sides they offer chips, cole slaw, potato salad, pinto beans, and french fries. A "plate" comes with your choice of two sides. I'm only giving 4-stars because the food was good but I was a little disappointed in the BBQ sauce. I believe that the basis for any great barbeque is the sauce. Bobby's sauce is ok but nothing to write home about. So if you are craving BBQ while in downtown and don't have time to drive 10-15 minutes, this place will scratch your itch.”

“When I am traveling, I always try to avoid the chain restaurants and find good local fare. Bird Creek Burger Company hits it out of the park! If you live or are traveling in the Temple area, put this spot on your list of restaurants to try. The food is reasonably priced, service top notch, and the beer cold. My only complaint could be the hours, but it's understandable given the location. Try this place out if you haven't already!”

“Fantastic food; best Italian I've had anywhere, including NYC. It's that good. I don't have an Italian grandmother, but if I did, I have to imagine this is what her food would be like. High-quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is nice, with live music upstairs on the weekends. Great service, good cocktails and the food - did I mention the food? Ridiculously addictive. So glad this gem is in Temple.”

“The food's usually pretty decent. I love the Greek Salad. I used to frequent Cheeves for the martinis, but they've now more than doubled in price. I've found better alternatives, but would go here maybe once a year.”

“Always good drinks, food and the best of all, company. Good ppl at Green Door from all walks of life. Dave Romans is the best bar tender on the planet so say drop in, say hello, and have a shot with him. Better yet take your chances and challenge this shark to a game of pool. Best of luck to ya! ????”

“Waiting staff very understanding of those who have not eaten Japanese cuisine as they stand ready to prepare alternative food for their guests. Very clean restaurant. Food is properly prepared and very tasty. Atmosphere is cordial and friendly. Only issue is that small children with no discipline and inattentive parents make the atmosphere unbearable for others. Families with children should be in another section of the restaurant.”

“They always have some meat special. Their Mexican pastries have very competitive prices. They have a large variety of “cultural” products ranging from can good to fresh fruits. They also have a small restaurant that sell tacos, Chicken and other ready made foods.”

“Large hamburgers with choice of toppings. Regular burger comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mustard. You can get a combo meal with fries and fountain drinks. I did forgo the fountain drink and had a delicious milkshake. Their milkshakes are made with Blue Bell ice cream. My choice of burger was a cheese burger with bacon and the standard lettuce, pickle, and mustard. It was a jumbo bun. Fries were very good as well. On another note, it is carry out only, unless you want to sit at one of the few picnic tables that are located outside the building.”

“By far the best Barbecue in Temple Tx. Brisket, Ribs, are always good. The sausage is delicious. The service is great and the price is good considering the amount of food you get. I've been a customer for a long time and never had a bad experience. If you want good food at a good price check out Fat Boy's.”

“I had an hour and a half till my VA appointment. So I rode my scooter to Old Jody's. I've been here with my wife, but since time was limited, I decided to go alone. I had a Jody's cheeseburger with and egg on it and fries. The coffee was strong and hot. Just how I like it. When the food came, it was so good that I told my waitress that I wanted to yell out, 'This is the best damn cheeseburger I've had in a long time.' The chicken fried steak is what I usually have. The are the biggest and tastiest, but I wasn't with my wife and time was an issue. If you want to go somewhere that has been here a while and has great food? Your best bet is Old Jody's. The new one across the street is good, but the original location lives up to its name. Enjoy it.”

“Family owned and managed. Nice people & great food. Viewing the many plaques & pictures hanging about, it's not only locals that come in - there are Performers who stop time & again. Personally, I'd like to meet George Straight over a soda & burger ????”
