The Hoppy Monk

On our first visit to The Hoppy Monk, we came particularly to try the food. The boneless buffalo wings are amazing. The Korean flavor and crunch on the wings was mind-blowing: I'd prefer this to virtually any chicken wing. They also do a house-made ranch that was probably the best ranch I've ever tasted. The mac-and-cheese is always changing, and we didn't particularly care for this week's version. It used a very strong Swiss cheese that to me was strong in the sense truffles or blue cheese is strong - neither of which I like. We also had the burgers: the bacon burger and the burger with pesto. While not the best burgers I've ever had, they were fairly great, especially the bacon burger.

In short, The Hoppy Monk has an extensive craft beer selection, and the food is virtually equally impressive. Don't miss out on the cauliflower wings!

They have a good beer and liquor selection and the staff knows about it. They consistently have really good food here as well. I'm glad they're around, I go here pretty regularly. Hoppy Monk comes in clutch for good food options later in the night. It's always a good idea to come here.

It's a nice and different bar in the area. They have a lot of beers in draft which is perfect if you want to experiment and try new drafts. The outdoor area is humongous and very nice. I sat in the bar area and you will definitely will get a faster service seating in a table and having a server. The two bartenders had their hands full during hoppy hour.

First time visiting. Amazing beer and whiskey selection. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat. Fantastic live music out in their beautiful intimate out door stage area. Bar staff were helpful, attentive and quick. Will 100% be back to eat and enjoy some more great beers!
