I would say this restaurant is so closer to authentic french cuisine. We really enjoyed our night date and so thankful for giving us the table (even I’ve made reservation for the other day). We were sitting inside, and it was kind of noisy. The portion size was super good not too much not so small. We had to wait for 40 minutes for main courses but these were delicious. The stuff people were respectful (kind of confusing why our waiter was coming to our table 4-5 times and he didn’t take off the empty glass... and he served the dessert tablespoons in weird manner…)

I’d have to imagine that Mr. Goldberg’s dream of putting San Antonio on the map as a culinary hot spot has been fully realized in Mon Chou Chou.

Outstanding. You MUST try the lobster bisque, the Branzino (best fish that has ever hit my tongue), and the steak.

Clayton will hook you up with a great drink and Edward will guide you well on food choices.

Authentic French cuisine. The chef is from Strosburg France and has a unique way of pairing the unmistakable fresh tastes of the French countryside with the best of what Texas has to offer. For a moment we felt as if we were in a cafe. Excellent service, with friendly staff. Do not pass this opportunity up!

My family and I went for my birthday last night (Christmas Eve). The service was quick, friendly, helpful, etc. The staff went above and beyond to make the experience special. I tried the duck confit which was a 10/10. I already have my next reservation booked because I need to try more menu items. My father ordered the rotisserie chicken- usually I wouldn’t recommend something “generic” like rotisserie chicken... but this isn’t normal rotisserie chicken. It’s the most juicy and flavorful chicken I’ve ever had. I cannot brag on the experience enough.

Run don't walk to this delightful brasserie! I can't speak highly enough of every aspect of this gem. The ambience hits the perfect note, and you will be transported to a most authentic French experience. Mon Chou Chou has spared nothing in its superb design, state of the art kitchen, and
well-sourced ingredients of the highest quality. I was fortunate to be able to sample many of the dishes offered, and I can say definitively that the French comfort food created by Chef Laurent Rea and his staff will truly feed your soul. What a place. First class in every way.
